View Full Version : Disney UK Prices

Do hotel prices on the UK Disney website include taxes? I am checking the prices for a friend and they are working out around 10% lower than the rack rate in $ + taxes, converted to £ (using the exchange rate quoted by Disney n their T&Cs). I was wondering if taxes accounts for the difference.

Thanks. :)

they do indeed - taxes do not tend to get added at the end on UK sites unless they are for flights

That for some reason is the same calculation I was coming up with - and no one can beat the UK 14 day ultimate ticket for price - can only get it in the UK too

At the moment, I'm only JUST beating UK Disney prices by getting AP prices on the states site! and I mean sometimes I'm only beating it by a couple of hundred $. The UK pricing at the moment seems really good

But we have no AP's and if you add the cost of AP as well. booking direct plus a 14 day ultimate wins for us

I can well believe it! the pricing seems REALLY REALLY good if you don't have an AP!

The 14 day tickets are cheaper with Orlando Tickets than they are with Disney.

I'm looking now at All Stars for £44 a night. :wow: That's a seriously good price if that's all taxes and everything. It's very tempting.

Price goes up on Saturday and Sunday check-ins though.

I've even thought about changing the first half of my december bookings to pop century or ASM + dining package! I'd lose the ap deposit though :( but I'd make REALLY good use of that dining plan and at the UK prices, it's pretty amazing

How much is the dining plan on the UK website?

Bit of a problem at the moment since it isn't allowing it to be added :/ Im sure someone said it was £19.95 or something each person, per night

Definately some good rates to be had on that site just now. priced up a week in mid Nov at Pop Century at only £308! couple that with Virgin doing some special deals on flights to Florida for this time (around £325pp) its seriously tempting.

Nothing on the news about any banks being robbed so we're ok (HA! there not onto me yet :spy: *ahem*... )
perhaps just wishful thinking really :sigh:
There are some pennies stored away for a rainy (or sunny and humid) day :D

Just to add that after much consideration (and apologies to MMac as you have been sooo helpful) we have decided to book via the UK disney website. For 2 weeks at Pop Century and the 14 day ultimate ticket it was £954, i just need to add the dining plan on which I think takes it up to £1512 for us 2 adults so pretty good price wise me thinks.

The lady i spoke to at reservations said they are still having dining plan problems but that i could book the accommodation and park tickets and add the dining plan on when it was available again.

Have to admit the uk prices are soooo good at the moment that's a bargain! and with the dining plan, wow you're in for a serious good time :)

I really need to stop reading this thread :notlook: I keep working out prices for a week in November and if I we go for the dining option as well it's working out at £1,186.50 incl flights with Virgin staying at Pop or £1,396 at POFQ Chris would want a car though so that would put the price up.

Somebody, anybody slap me quick :slapme: knock some sense into me

The people at Virgin Flying Club have totally confuddled me

Keep coming up with different dates and prices every time i ring

Seems cheapest we could get flights is £325.40 each under this special offer or £500 or so each PE companion ticket.

What dates are you looking for Jo on VA website miles + money economy flights are coming out as £641.20 for 31/10 - 8/11 for 2 flights - later dates in Nov come up as £599 for 2 flights.

I'm not looking anymore, I've just realised that our Passports expired in July   there would be no way we could get them back in time :( I'd almost made up my mind to surprise Chris - he would have had to go without his RPE experience next year and it would have taken me longer to save up for the new camera that he really wants - but I just felt he needed a holiday (well that would have been my excuse :hehe:  )

Keep looking Jo, you can't give up now - you know it makes sense to go and see the Wedding Co-ordinator in person

Are they for Gatwick or Manchester?

We were looking at after 7th November.

I know, I know, calm down  it will take me ages to save up any way I think its about £2,500  :afraid: I did think if I had nearly enough, we could have bought it in Orlando next year  as it is a lot cheaper than the UK and then if anything went wrong, we'd have to go back to get it repaired

joanne

Hmmm...

I tried for miles plus money economy outbound, PE inbound and got £906 + 9500 miles.

Then found out that wedding planner might not be free during those dates, so went for 17-24 and got £882 +9500 miles :bounce:

Trouble is, it's mostly during Thanksgiving week. Does it get realy busy in the few days before TG?

It can depend on if anyone else is fishing around the booking system holding seats then releasing them when they change their mind. :)

AlecK

Ah right, how do you hold the seats on there?

when you put your dates in and check availability it holds the seats it finds until you complete checkout or you search again and it lets them go. There's no 24hr hold like the FC can do on the phone. Have your tried ringing ? I sometimes find it easier to talk with FC so they can offer different fares that they can see on their screens rather than keep trying multiple dates online

Price goes up on Saturday and Sunday check-ins though.

What dates are you considering, Dawn? The value resorts are $77 per night value season and $99 per night regular season (plus tax of 10 to 11%) U.S. rack rate. With a rough conversion rate of $1.75 to BPS, I'm coming up with $77 per night. The rates in 2006 are $79 value and $99 regular. No increase in rates for Saturday or Sunday arrival, unless it's in a different season.

Ask Mickeymac or Cinderella to check things out for you for a room-only ressie. It can't hurt, and it could be advantageous!
