I wrote a letter of complaint to TCD about the non-arrival of my luggage and got the usual reply that they would respond within 28 days of the ABTA guidelines etc. After not receiving a reply for 38 days I sent them a fax and they finally sent me a reply this morning! You wouldn't believe their response! They must really think that us holiday makers are idiots. They failed to load my luggage in July, it's October tomorrow and my letter is asking for some form of compensation, but their advice is to contact my insurance company who will be able to provide assistance to purchase essential items if I produce a property irrreguarity report! I only did this on July 29th.
They then give the usual waffle of how poor airlines load so much luggage that suitcases can get mislaid and that's why we have insurance. I will be pursuing this as far as I can as we received no help whatsoever from TCD in Orlando. We've booked on Virgin next year!
