Ok, I've checked the website (several times) and received an e/mail back from Virgin and am still none-the-wiser:wacko: :
Can I do on-line check-in the day before departure AND just drop our bags at Twilight check-in service that evening?:sigh:
I'm getting very confussssssed.

I see no reason why you shouldnt be able to do that, you still have to go through the whole security questions/check thing but otherwise it shouldn't be a problem. Once done then its either back home or to the hotel for a good nights :sleepin: , but if you are like us, you wont sleep because its the excitement that keeps us awake :excited:

If you're going to check in your bags at twilight, why not just do the whole check-in there?

Because I hear Twilight is getting more and more popular, we arrive at Gatwick from Manchester at aprox 7pm then will be getting a lift to our B &b so thought our best option would be to check in on-line earlier in the day (before we go to Manchester) just drop the bags in at twilight then get to B & B luggage free.
 Complicated with the timings, I know.

Nope sounds perfectly understandable to me :) I can understand why it would be getting popular though.

there will be no queue when you drop off your bags - or only a tiny one at best we have always been the only ones there - they check you in and take your bags in about 2 mins - i would do it all at the same time

I'm leaning towards that option just because I keep hearing the odd horror story about on-line check-in...in particular, more than one story of people losing the original seats they had booked when they try to do on-line :Panic:
I'd like to try to keep the seats we've got if at all possible.
I need to go lie down in a dark room:calm:.........I can feel my tummy / head doing that wierd thing again .these final 2 weeks are always such a:juggle:

Twlight check in has never proved a problem for us. There's always a very short line to wait. Takes about 15mins. Easy peasy:D
