We requested our seats for this upcoming trip a year in advance by ringing Virgin with our name, date of travel and flight number. I still however can't access the website myself until I get our final confirmation from the travel agent with the reference number on it. I won't get this until about 10 days before we travel :(

Diane ring Virgin, they can look up your booking reference for you, it is different to the one the travel agent gives you :)

VA call it the locater reference and it is 6 characters. e.g FA7ZBD. As soon as the booking agent gives VA your names and booking details your are allocated one of these and can then access seat bookings through the VA website. :)

After being on hold for over an hour yesterday I spoke to somebody at VH about this, they said as I travel September next year, I would need to wait until the end of October as that is when the names would be released to VA, they only send them over once a month :Panic: :grrr:

Keep a check on the VA website's calender, when your return date is showing telephone VA and they can trace your booking and give you your booking reference number, from which you can manage your flights :)

According to the Virgin brochure it is 336 day before your Return flight. This would be the same if you accessed on-line or rang directly.
