Hi Everyone,
We are going to Florida next February for three weeks and are staying in a villa. I'm trying to sort out which Disney tickets would be best for us and am getting more and more confused!! Perhaps I'm having a complete 'blonde moment' but the tickets seem to be so different from when we visited last time (1999)!!
Anyway there will be two adults, two older teens, one eleven year old and a two year old on our trip. We would like to be able to move from one park to another (eg give littly his Mickey fix in the Magic Kingdom, then go to a water park in the afternoon to let the older ones let off steam). All the tickets I can find seem to expire 14 days after you first use them - is this right? We don't really want to lose any days, but we (well hubby!!) don't want to do nothing but Disney for 14 days straight either! What are our best options? The tickets we had last time allowed us to have a few days off between visits without losing days, is this no longer possible? And last question (for now!!) would it be better to buy our tickets in the UK before we go, or in the US when we get there?
Hope someone can help!!

The 21 day ultimate (http://www.orlando-ticket-deals.co.uk/walt-disney-resort/wdisneyw.htm)would fit the bill. You can park hop unlimited for 21 days and it also allows unlimited access to the water parks, Pleasure Island Disney Quest and WWofSports. The price is less than the old 10 day world pass.

The new Magic Your Way tickets are complicated.
You can buy different elements to fit together to create a custom ticket.
One option is purchasing the 'no expiration' option, so any unused days you'll still be able to use again on your next trip.
The different options are all explained here - http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/mywprices.html
You basically start with a base ticket for however many days, then add things like park hopping option, no expiration, water park extras on.
There are UK exclusive tickets available in the UK, but the 14 & 21 day passes do expire.
Have a look at http://www.orlando-ticket-deals.co.uk/walt-disney-resort/wdisneyw.htm & http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/maple.html. For the US tickets, work out which ticket you'd like, then convert to GBP to see whether that would be the cheapest option.

A good buy would be the 14 day pass that allows unlimited access to all parks and water parks, only problem is that it expires 14 days after first use, however if you planned to do Seaworld, Universal etc either side of that 14 days it would be worth while, if that suits you and your family of course :).

The problem we have with the new tickets is that they now don't allow you to go to a theme park and a water park on the same day without using up 2 days tickets.
So if your family enjoys the water parks you'll need a ticket with 'plus' options - each visit to TL or BB uses 1 plus option.
We don't like to do more than 3 or 4 days Disney theme parks in a 14 day holiday so usually get a park hopper pass that allows us to hop between the 4 main theme parks on some days and then use the plus options for water parks on other days. Any unused days can be upgraded to 'never expire' for future trips and if you use up all the plus options (like we do) then you just pay for entry to the water parks on the days you go back to those.
If you dont plan to go back for a long time then I'd do the calculations very carefully and decide whether to buy one of the special UK tickets or to buy a US Disney ticket to suit what you want to do.

Hi again everyone,
Thank you all for the great advice :-)
I spent most of littly's nap time checking out the different options and have decided to go for the UK 21 Day Ultimate ticket. It is only £22 pounds/person dearer than the 14 day ticket and means we can go to Disney whenever we like during the holiday without having to worry about running out of days. We will lose days when we visit other parks or have a day shopping, but I think that the advantages to us outweigh this consideration, and the price seems very reasonable too :-)
Thanks again

We're going to Orlando in April 2006 and I was wondering if I purchased the tickets now, would they be valid for 2006 or do they have to be used before the end of 2005?
Thanks

If there is a time limit on the ticket the seller should tell you.

WE go next October and have purchased the 14 day ticket from orlando ticket deals and they informed me that they have no use by date, other than once first used they are then valid for the next 14 days.
