Yes Mike, VH flights all earn miles, you can't upgrade with miles or get referral bonuses for economy seats though with VH. :)

I'm going on Sat with TCD (dont all shout noooo at once) for £389, which I think is excellent. Have been tracking their flights from Gatwick for last 6 weeks on internet and they have only been more than 1 hour late once. I know when things go wrong they can't cope, but in all honesty they don't seem to go wrong that often and I have met lots of people who have been with them and were happy (hope this post dosen't come back and bite me on the bum). My neice flew out with them last sat and got in bang on time. I know the planes may not be as new (ahem) and no back seat t.v's, but there is 8 of us so it works out quite a saving, would rather spend that money out there. Anyway, whatever happens, I will put a post on about my experience with them, good or bad

A bit ahead of times next October actually, but been looking for 6 seats and have ended up going with First Choice Mike. Cost was £493 each as opposed to £650 with Virgin who I have always used but the fuel supplement has just rocketed the price up.

but much cheaper if you do the miles + money option which i will look at, if not get a price thru a third party, as i dont want to fly chartered again to be honest, flying with britannia in 02 put me right off :(

We are flying next week Nut with BMI (PE) through Virgin Holidays, will let you know when i return. Also next year we have booked through First choice and upgraded to the premium seats they look very nice, but also nut there economy are 34 " seat pitch, 2" bigger than Virgin. Only problem i would say is travelling to Sanford, i hate the place, first time this year and never again. Back to Orlando Intl with Virgin

hi catherine, tbh i didnt mind going to sanford, only around an hrs drive, just the seats on the plane were so narrow pitch was ok you had to fold your arms into your body when eating cos of lack of space, and i didnt like the aisle tv either i had to crick my neck to see it. have you any prices to give me an idea, b'cos its VH do you get the airmiles or not? any info you can give me would be appreciative :D

When checking BMI dont go direct you have to go to Chicargo (thats not spelt right i dont think). To be honest the drive to Sanford was a pain but it was just the airport in comparison the MCO, we loved it there. I will find out some prices for you, our friend is a captain for BMI. Also First choice i believe have some very good prices.

i would bite the bullet and pay a bit more and fly with a us airline. us passengers don't take any c**p if they get bumped of the flight or there is a delay. and their offers if you are bumped are pretty good.
ive had a couple of good trips with american and continental after they were looking for volunteers. obiously this is no good if you have children but if you are on your own or a couple then cash and upgrades are usually very generous.
also ive hade some good results on upgrades with us airlines in the past.
1. dress smart casual (no shell suits or trainers)
2. get there early
3. leave the kids at home
4. ask how busy the flight is with a nice smile
5. if it is busy then tell them you dont mind moving so that families/people
can be together in your best concerned voice
6. if this dosn't work then you will have to slum it
ive been moved to business twice and first once with this method on american and continental, but if you get there don't brag on how you have been upgraded to the person next to you cos its bad manners.
he/she may have paid £2000 for the ticket, against your 2 shillings and sixpence
HAPPY HUNTING
