Hi all!

I was wondering if anyone has stayed at one of the following resorts: Sheraton Safari Hotel, Sheraton Vistana Villages or Sheraton Vistana Resort. All 3 resort's pictures look very nice on the web, especially the villages one. I am able to get a really good rate at these 3 hotels, almost too good to be true, so I'm a little worried that the hotel is really as nice as it looks. Thanks for the input! :)

I've been inside the Safari one but haven't stayed there. It is lovely.

I have spent a week in a 2 bedroom condo at Vistana. It is HUGE. There are tons of activities and it is very close to the Downtown Disney entrance.

Thanks for the reply Johnie, that's good to hear! Even though we can get a really good price, my husband is wondering if we'll be missing out by staying offsite. We haven't stayed offsite since we were both kids. This is going to be a tough decision. The only plus about offsite is that we would have a lot of room for our DS & DD... hotel rooms get very small quickly. :)

Larua, do you take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours? What about room charges? Resort delivery? Free onsite parking? If those are things that regularly slip into your vacation that you think you might miss, you might be happier onsite, even without the extra room.

I did forget about the resort delivery...that is a nice thing to use. I also forgot about the Dining plan and the possible birthday gifts. Both of my kids will be celebrating birthdays while we are there and I'm sure they would love to receive a birthday wish from mickey. Maybe we will stay onsite...

We've stayed at the Vistana Villages and were really happy. The pool is lovely and was never crowded when we were there. I think you need to decide what works best for you. We had a two bedroom, 2 bath at the Vistana. It gave us lots of room (we are 5) and we really love having a Kitchen and washer and dryer in the villa.

When we stay on site, we do not usually use package delivery-I don't like waiting until the next day for my goodies, I find using my debit card just as easy as a room charge and we haven't used EMH's too much. I'm not a late night person, so by the night time hours, I'm too tired. We also tend to avoid the park with a morning EMH or just go for the first hour.

I have never felt short changed by staying offsite, although others may. We will also split stays-that way you can have both. I think you have to decide how much you want to spend and what you want for your money. There is no wrong answer. You will have a good time either way.

Where can you get the best price for Sheraton Vistana Villages? I like the fact you can have a kitchen. Got expensive eating out all the time.

We've gotten good rates through Hotelkingdom.com. They always have several villa/condo type accommodations. Once we stayed at the Villages, we have gotten calls on a regular basis for specials.

I usually check out several discount hotel companies as the best prices are not always at the same website. I have had consistently good luck with Hotelkingdom though.

I've often wanted to get a house, which we've done on other vacations. They don't seem to be much more and often have a private pool.

can anyone tell me if the 1 bedrooms have 2 vanitys or bathrooms? Which sections would you recommend?

All the two bedroom condos and villas we have stayed in have had either two or two and a half baths. We have never stayed in a one bedroom as we have 5. I know that the units with both a spa tub and a shower have a separate bathroom/vaniety area. I also remember the 2 bdrm units as having 2 sinks in the masterbath but sometimes it's hard to remember which unit has what as we generally vacation in a home, villa or condo.

I think that the Sheraton (Starwood) website may ahve some floor plans on the units.
