We are going to Florida in 3 weeks time and just want to make sure I have enough spending money! There will be 2 adults and 2 children. We are staying at the All Stars Music hotel. How much should I budget for food every day? Are things cheaper over there?

You can get a good idea of onsite prices by checking out the menus (http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/menus.html) for all the resort and park restaurants :eat:

We normally have the same family ratio as you (2 adults, 2 children) and we found that if we ate counter service during the day, we normally spent about $80/day (including meals and snacks)...Oddly, when we dined at full service restaurants, we normally spent the same amount, however I believe this is because we were usually two full to eat more than one or two meals a day.

Thanks for your replies everyone, but all these figures in dollars mean absolutely nothing to me! I need average prices in pounds!

Susie,
I'm American, so the only pounds I have are around my waste!!
BUT, here is what is important to know......Are you renting a car, and will you have a fridge, in your room.
If the answer is yes, to both those questions, I would recomend this.....Accross Lake Buena Vista Blvd, just outside the enterance to DW, there is a shopping center. There are a bunch of restaraunts, and little shops. There is also a grocery store called Goodings. If I were you, and I were worried about money, I would go there, first thing, and load up on bread, milk, cereal, deli meat, peanut butter and jelly, and other sorts of snacks. You can save yourself a ton, if you try.
On the other hand, it's fun to buy the big, disgusting turkey leg, and all the Mickey ice cream bars, and funnel cakes, and such. Maybe it's just me, but I like to OVER save, for when I go. That way, when I'm there, I don't have to worry about how much things cost. Then, if I'm lucky, I may even come back with a little money.

If you have a car DO NOT go to Goodings, go to Publix. SorcererMickey has posted some great maps if you do a search for Publix. Goodings is totally overpriced

When it was the 4 of us a few years ago we budgeted about a $100 a day (£56.52) for food, snacks, etc. But, keep in mind that at that time my son was also 17 and he eats like you wouldn't believe  If your kids are younger and not eating like football players, then you should be able to get away with a little less,

We normally budget for between £20 - £30 a day for food, snacks etc but there are only 2 of us. We always have money left at the end of the holiday.

I find the prices in the WDW parks/resort to be on the high side--captive audience prices! Much like going to a concert or trade show--you're there and you're stuck! :)
You probably will find the prices more reasonable with the favourable exchange rate, depending on your local prices.
There are many ways to economize, if necessary. It usually is for me! :D

From $2.99-$10.99 That's just a guess.
Sorry if it doesn't help!
