hi
we are flying BA in feb as they are the best option flying from the island.
no overnight stays or long waits for connecting flights:D
last time we had to wait 7 hours on our return as we flew virgin and BA would not put us on an earlier than booked flight:(
we have booked a bulkhead seat and skycot.how good are BA for giving the seats you have booked?the baby will be 10 months and i really dont fancy him on my knee the whole flight. i know he will be to big to sleep  in the cot but a play in it while we eat would be good.
any feedback on them would be good:confused:

I've always found BA very good indeed in the service arena. They've been doing it longer than most ;-) they do have onboard staff who seem to be there because they enjoy what they do rather than just young, pretty and interested in talking to each other  It's been a few years since I last used them though so it may have changed.

One problem was that the planes tended not to have seat back tvs but perhaps that's updated now.

Their online/automated checkin stuff was the best I've seen and used.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them if the price was right

We've flown BA to New York and found them to be excellent. Efficient check-in, friendly staff who knew exactly what they were doing. We got the seats we had booked and found the service on the plane to be of a high standard. The in flight movies were up to date and there was a good choice of meals. Both flights were on time and both planes had plenty of leg room. I would have no hesitation in flying with them to Florida if their prices were competitive but for us, Virgin comes out better and is direct from Manchester.

Hi,

We flew with BA in April this year to Florida, our first trip to WDW and first longhaul flight. I would not hesitate the fly with BA again. They were helpfull at check in, the seats I have requested online in manage my booking we already resreved for us. As DH is very tall I asked if there were any bulkhead seats available, they checked for us, and gave us two which my DH and DS sat in.

There was seat back tv's although a couple of them did not work.

There was a family on board with a baby, and the sky cot was great as she could sit in it an play with her toys or mum and dad could feed her.

Hope this helps
Trish

You have the same problem I do. I have to travel from Guernsey. Problem is we always have to go the day before in case of fog. Most travel insurance does not cover the Guernsey/UK flight as I discovered last month! Still mad about that but at least it was on the way back.

there is now seat back tv's on all long haul 747 and 777 aircraft in the B.A fleet. There are cabin screens on their short haul aircraft
