We are staying at WLV in Dec. and want to know if there is a location close to main lobby and food that we could request. If anyone knows please let meknow. Thanks, Alison

None of them really are. You have to walk through the main building (or around) and exit to a walkway that takes you into the secondary building that houses the villas.
They are all quite nice and accessible via elevator. I'm terrible at remembering room numbers, but I did have a view of the lake and the main pool from my villa when I stayed there.
It's a nice DVC, especially for Christmas time. Very cozy!

So I guess you are saying that it is a long walk to the lobby and food. Are there bus stops near the villas? Since we will have a kitchen we won't need the food court too often so that won't be bad. I just love WL and can't wait to stay at a villa. We have stayed in a courtyard view room twice and loved it. Can't wait to see it for Christmas!!!!

No. Not really a long walk.
Boardwalk has much longer walks (depending on room location of course)!
Bus stops are off to the side of the resort (all bus stops). It's not like OKW or SSR where there are multiple stops throughout the resort. The DVC villas use the same bus stop area as the resort proper.

Unlike some of the other DVC resorts, WLV isn't so expansive and all the rooms are in one building-very compact.
The WLV are "attached" to the main WL building by a walk way. They aren't very far away at all. My family thinks the lay-out at WLV is really nice because everything is so close.
The bus stop is closer to the villas then it is to the main lodge so you are in luck there as well ;)
Have a wonderful time the WL and WLV are just beautiful at the holidays.
