Arrived back from Florida early this morning and noticed yesterday that they were already putting the xmas tree up at Old Town, if anyone gets the chance head over there and check it out, they had only just started as we were leaving for the airport but it looked like a good one.

It was pretty unlucky really, we were there for 3 weeks and they started putting the tree up the day we went home.

Yeah Keith, its worth a trip down there one night, you want to go on Friday night though because thats when they have the Friday night cruise taking place, really nice cars on show and its the only time its really busy down there, the atmospheres really good there on a Friday night :)

We passed by the Old Town every day as we stay about 10 mins off the 192 heading towards Wal-mart. There is a classic car show there every Friday (and I think Saturday) night which is well worth a look. There are various amusement arcades, shops, restaraunts and bars. You can't miss the entrance to it, there's a massive ferris wheel there at the side of the 192 :)

It's very popular (expecially for the car show).

Yeah Neil, its really good, the Friday night cruise is for cars upto 1972 and the Saturday night cruise is for cars 1972 and older, like you said, really popular place. :) Good place to unwind after being at a Theme Park during the day.

There is also live music at the Old Town and a place to dance or just to watch the line dancing which seems to start spontaneously. It is quite entertaining. Also look in the Candy shop where they do fudage at a fraction of the prices in the parks and - in my humble opinion - far better.

Katie :)

For anyone else who goes remember to pick up a 25 cent bottle of Pepsi, its right down the end of Old Town on the left hand side, they sell thousands of bottles every day.
