As I was flipping TV stations this morning, I stumbled across a movie that I never knew existed...Savage Sam (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057473/)...a sequel to Old Yeller. I haven't watched it as yet...told the TiVo to grab it so I could watch it with Jordan later.

Just curious if anyone remembers this movie and what your thoughts are on it...

Haven't heard of it before I'm afraid....I would probably have watched it if I noticed it on at any time.
Old Yeller  I remember watching this as our 'treat' at school about 35 years ago and it was sooooooo soooooo soooooo sad.:sorry:
I have it on video which I bought about 5 years back but haven't had the courage to watch it yet:rolleyes:

I'm giving away my age, but I first saw this, when it was first released to theaters.

Like most sequels, I don't think it is as good as the original, but I still liked it.

As a bit of trivia, if anyone remembers the television series "Lost in Space" and the character of Judy Robinson, which was played by Marta Kristen, she made her motion picture debut in "Savage Sam," playing the character of Lisabeth Searcy.
