Before I venture into the world of scrapbooking I am trying various different things with greetings cards to perfect my skills before I start my WDW scrapbook!

What type of glue do you scrapbookers recommend using on vellum? I've tried a tacky crafters glue but this makes the vellum pucker up and childrens glue stick can be seen through the paper. Would glue dots work?

I did some wedding invitations this year that needed vellum and after some trial and error I settled on Uhu paper glue in the tube with the sponge tip applicator. It looks all bubbly at first but it contracts as it dries and stretches the paper tight.

When scrapbooking, be sure everything is acid-free!

Not critical for cards, though, unless people keep them forever! Like me! :D

There are glues out there that are made for vellum - wdwgrandma can recommend a good one I'm sure since I think she uses vellum while stamping

TUSHYPAT!!!! THERE you are! It's so wonderful to see you again!

I have no idea what glue to use, but did want to say that I saw some really nice scrapbooking supplies this past weekend in the Character Corner at Lake Buena Vista outlets.

Why don't you hop on the next flight and come on over and get some! :D

And to be honest with you, I've not encountered a glue for use with vellum that I've been happy with - not even the ones made specifically for vellum! I'm going to try out some double sided tape to see if that works any better...

Have you tried spray mount. That works on very fine paper and doesn't show yet is strong.

I haven't tried it on vellum - but I can! I have some at home!

Thank you everyone. I will try both the Uhu and the spray mount!

I like glue sticks personally, they work very well.

Glue sticks and vellum are not good combos. They leave marks that show though the vellum
