We have just booked a week between Christmas and New Year. Its been 3 years since our last visit and my DH's overall health and mobility has changed since March of this year.
He has Angina and circulatory problems and cannot walk or stand for long.
We have looked at renting an ECV so we can do more etc.
One of many questions is how do we get from the car park to the gates of the Magic Kingdom? Do the trams take ECV's?
I could walk alongside the ECV but cannot honestly remember how far it was. We have only visited in July before so it could have seemed a long way dut to the heat.
Any other tips or recommendations greatly welcomed. I was an avid poster and visitor when planning our trips before and have kept in touch from time to time as we have visited California and DL since. You were always very helpful and there are many of the familiar names still answering the questions and supporting each other with such patience and enthusiasm. A real sense of community spirit comes across.
Thank you.

Disabled parking is quite near to the T&TC. You then get on the Monorail to get to MK. The trams con't stop in the disabled parking bit as it's so near.

It's not far at all, I would say about a 5 minute walk from disabled parking to the entrance to the monorail or ferry boat.

I picked up some brochures at the Official Orlando Visitor's Center last week for several scooter and medical equipment rental businesses that I think deliver to Disney hotels. I'm about to leave work to go home, I'll scan them and post later this afternoon.

Thank you both for your replies and advice:)
As this is a last minute holiday we were not going for the big car we usually get but now wonder what size we would need for the ECV?
We are staying in a villa in Kissimmee and will need the ECV delivering on our first day there as we will arrive latish in the evening. Both Randy's and Walkers sound good, any personal recommendations? I haven't made any enquiries yet, are we likely to be able to reserve one now at a busy time of year?

OK, if you're arriving later as we do, Randy's is out. They will only deliver into your hands. Walker's and Care will deliver the ecv and leave it for you.

I managed to get the ECV into a Mitsubishi Gallant, anything smaller won't work.

Sorry should have put our first full day there, not the day of arrival. We will not visit the parks on the day after arrival so we will be there for a delivery. We are only getting a 4 day hopper pass this time as DH wants to visit the Kennedy space centre and we must have some shopping time and sitting by the pool ( weather permitting) relaxing.
Thanks for the tip with the car, we are using Dollar and they usually love an upgrade.
