We are thinking of going on holiday next year during the festive period but are not sure what it would be like.Has anyone got any experiences that they could share ie,how busy it is,weather,where to go and to eat on xmas day etc.We would go on about 15DEc and come back about 6Jan.Any advice would help greatly.

i was there last christmas from 22nd december to 6th january. it was an absolutely amazing experience. generally speaking the parks are busy compared to most of the other times of the year. we done magic kingdom christmas day and to say it was packed is a major under statement. that day and boxing day (26th) the weather was cold, wet and generally miserable. i would recomment the cp if u can get a table...i love the food there. i also booked breakfast for two at the castle which was a really nice touch to the day. we done the same new years eve, again we had to make sure we were in fairly early as it busied up quick, but it was worth it to see the fireworks, and the countdown 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1....happy new year....brilliant. the weather this day was pretty good.
in between we seen many christmas shows...osbourne lights, grinchmas at universal, MVMCP, Candle light procession is a few i would recommend. if u look at previous posts about december weather u will see its very much a mixed bag, and ure luck. some days were lovely, others cold. generally speaking you may need a light jacket/jumper in the evenings.
#its truly a great experience going to wdw but in my opinion, christmas and new year time is extra magical. i am sure you will have an absolutely amazing time...hope this helps:thumbs:
