Has anyone seen or done this yet? Having just stayed at BCV I walked past this numerous times when entering Epcot at the International Gateway but not until the last day of my stay did I actually walk up & see what it said. Then it spurred my memory of a DVC function I believe that was called Member Mixer. Is that what it was for? Did I miss out on something fabulous because I believe one happened during out stay? It just looked like the parking lot surrounded by potted shrubs, LOL.

Yes, it probably was the member mixer. We're hoping to drop by there next week. :rudolph:
From the DVC website:

You didn`t miss a lot BT!
They have had these get togethers at OKW when we stayed there on a couple of our trips.
You are given small snacks [pickies] and drinks. It`s all very informal and is ok if you have nothing else planned but it`s really not worth going out of your way to attend IMHO.

Do they have characters? I'm sure I read in the magazine that they do? We'll probably drop by on our way back to the Beach Club. Gotta go that way anyway so it'd be rude not to call in!

I can`t recall seeing any characters at the meets at OKW Paula, you may well find some there during your visit though, seeing as it is the festive season.
It was in September when they had the ones we saw at OKW.

We went to the champagne brunch in Citrico's and it was wonderful! As you can see from my siggy pic, Aurora came along. :D I wasnt sure about the $50 charge per adult, but it was amazing food and all the champagne you could drink. We were also given a DVC wine glass each as we left. Being a family of four we got a nice set! :D

I went to this last year, and hope to stop in next Thursday myself! If you see me Paula, give a shout! (I'll be the frazzled looking one, albeit with a huge smile, with the little guy in a stroller)! LOL!
It is very low key, as Slowhand says, but at Christmas time there are some CMs dressed up. Last year it was as Victorian "characters" if you will.
It's a nice little break, and a good way to have a cup of cider (or chocolate too, I think???) and a few cookies. They were giving out little gifts last year too (heavy silver colored key chains).

Oh, I wish I had lucked upon it while there. I guess the night they had it we must have been at another park. The Champagne Brunch at Citrico's sounds nice! I think $50 sounds pretty reasonable for what you got. I'll have to keep my eyes open in June for something as we are on our way to vero beach then & since we have AP's all fresh & new we will probably stop for a few days at WDW on the way.
