DTD Hilton -- advice

We are going to WDW in March. DH has a conference at the DTD Hilton, so we are saving a lot of money on hotel and his expenses. We have two boys, almost 3 and almost 5. My biggest concern is about the bus service. I know we will be close to DTD, close enough to walk, but when we were at WDW last year, it took forever to find a bus to DTD and then forever on the bus.

I'm not sure I can change where we're staying, but I would like to know in advance what we are getting in to. I'm hoping to use DTD as entertainment for the kids when we aren't at the parks, as well. Any advice or recent experiences will be appreciated.

Hi kpenn and welcome to the boards by the way!
My DW and I stayed at the Hilton on one of our earlier trips to WDW and found that as you say, it was much quicker to walk to DTD than to wait for the bus.
Fortunately the Hilton is right at the end of the street...ie the closest to DTD, and so it`s only around a 5 minute walk away.

Remember that the buses from DTD only go to resorts - not parks so plan on that

I think its excellent for location its just a short stroll to DTD. The hotel offers transport to Disney themes parks and when we were staying at the Hilton we got the EMH privileges too :)
