Hi everybody! Obviously this is my first post to this forum, but I've been a long time lurker and have learned quite a bit already by reading through all of the wonderful posts. Everyone seems so helpful and nice. I hope to continue the tradition.
I've been to WDW a couple of times, but very long ago. I was shocked to learn that my wife had never, ever been to WDW or Disneyland, so I promptly suggested a vacation for myself, my wife and our 3 year old daughter. I'd like to stay off-site for this (hopefully) first of many family vacations to WDW, but one of our prerequisites is that the hotel/resort we stay in must have a full kitchen {full size fridge, stove (oven optional), microwave, etc.}.
Here's where I hope the well-experienced folks on this forum can help. Where can I see a list or get a list of off-site hotels/resorts that offer a full kitchen in their accommodations? A map of their location in relation to WDW would be useful too. I've done a lot of searching but haven't been able to come up with a concise way to get that information in a reasonable amount of time {short of clicking on every Orlando hotel link and reading their description}.
I don't know if it matters or not, but we plan on travelling in late January (Value season?) and will have 2 adults and 1 child staying for about 10 days/nights.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Im quite new to the site but we have been to florida a few times staying in different locations and types of accommodations. One time we stayed at the quality suites just off the 192, I dont have any maps to show you where it is computers are not my strong point but if you have a map, its in between old town and the entrance to I4 near water mania. They had nice rooms you went into a lounge area with a dining room table and a full kitchen leading to a big bedroom. This would prob be good for when your daughters goes to bed you could chill for a while in the living area. It was close to most things. They do have a website an the hotel is located on Irlo Bronson Highway I think

Have you considered a villa?

I've stayed at Homewood Suites on Palm Parkway (just beyond DTD) and it was quite nice. I honestly don't remember if the appliances were full size, but I think they were.
I also stayed at Double Tree Suites at the "end" of Hotel Plaza Blvd. (walking distance to DTD) and was generally satisfied (although it was an older and more rundown resort).
Have you considered renting points from a DVC member? I don't know much about it, but I know that some folks really know the ins and outs of point renting and do so with great success.
Some of our members here have had a lot of success with that.

Thanks everyone for the great input. We're looking to do this initial trip on the cheap and are looking to budget no more than $100 per night for a hotel room. The Frontierland cabins were my first thought as well for the full kitchen, but at over $200 a night, I think we may save that for the second trip. I went to Expedia.com and did a search for hotels near WDW and specified 'condos' and got a pretty good 2 page result. Some of the hotels included:
Holiday Villas
Beachtree Villas
Fantasy World Club Villas
Parc Corniche Condo Suite Hotel
Magical Memories Villas
Classic Families
Extended Stay Deluxe
All of them were under the $100 per night and all had full kitchens. Also, they were all withing about 5 miles of WDW. I'll do some more research on these and I'm sure I'll find some info in these very forums, so I'll post any news I may get.
Thanks again for all the replies.

Try the RCI.com website. You know, RCI, the timeshare megapresence in Orlando. They have a search routine you should be able to get into. They have dozens of condos in the WDW area...I've stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Resorts, Summer Bay Resort, and one other I can't remember the name of at the moment. They all have the amenities you're looking for...Sometimes they have free days as an invitation to go through their sales pitch...Anyway, the RCI website might also have a map...

I've stayed in Homewood Suites in several locations, both in and out of Orlando. They have all been very nice and the rooms are always clean and in good repair. They have always had a full fridge, stove top, microwave and dishwasher. I stayed in one last weekend on the trip to return one of my sons to school and not only were the rooms lovely, their free breakfast was one of the best buffet breakfast I've ever had. It was ironic that it was better than the $12. buffet I had at the Courtyard on the way to pick him up for break.
I've also done well with getting villas either through Hotelkingdom.com or directly through the hotel's website. I've used Marriott, Hilton and STarwood properties that are rented to non-owners by the night.
Good luck. Orlando has a ton of accommodations so you can usually get somethings quite nice for a reasonable price.

The first time we went to Disney we stayed at the Homewood Suites on Intenational Drive. Even though I never used the kitchen (I don't use mine at home much!) it looked pretty substantial to me. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the only reason we've not stayed there again is that we much prefer to stay onsite.

Hilton Grand Vacations Club on International Drive is a really nice place. The room I stayed in was a three bedroom, full kitchen, 3 bathrooms, washer/dryer, jacuzzi tub in master and a few balconies. This place is just beautiful. You also can get smaller villas there seeing you don't have as many people. Also if you and your wife go to one of the timeshare shows I believe you can get some free tickets and stuff. I just love this resort!!!

i have found a great deal for a deluxe studio sleeps 4 plus additional sofa bed - the hotel is called Extended Stay Lake Buena Vista, you even get free continental breakfast every morning.
The rooms have what i call a full kitchen (sink, fridge/freezer, hob, dishwasher, toaster and microwave).
Great Price 358.00 for 10 nights through Airline Network.
