Quality Inn Plaza

My H2B and I are going to the travel agents this weekend to book our Honeymoon for February 2007. We are looking at booking into the Quality Inn Plaza with Virgin. Can anyone tell me what this hotel is like please and anything nearby to do as we aren't hiring a car as neither of us drive

we stayed at the quality inn international last month, and had a ball. couldn't tell you how good the hotel is, ours was basic and clean which is all you need. however they do buses to disney $14 per day and free buses to sea world and universal.

your hotel is directly across from the pointe orlando which is a little shopping mall, with some restaurants, also across the road is a tgi fridays, ben and jerry's cafe, mini golf, wonderworks,and loads of other restaurants.

also we used the i trolley loads, (bus that goes the whole legnth of idrive and there is a stop right outside your hotel) $1 each way, but we bought a 14 day pass for $16 (i think)

so please do not worry about not hiring a car.

its a basic clean and well appointed hotel pleanty of places to eat within walking distance the shops at point orlando just over the road. there is a crazy golf and other things to do just up the road we loved it here.
One thing i would strongly recommend a room away from I4 as it is heavy traffic all night we couldnt sleep for the noise but got moved onto the other side and had a blast there (bare in mind we live in a quiet village so noise is a big thing with us which is why we are staying on Universal Blvd this time)

Great position at the quieter end of I Drive, some cracking restaurants nearby as well.

hey, stayed at quality in plaza last july was good basic hotel, rooms quite well equipped and decent size it had a fridge and microwave which is a good bonus, clean hotel but found it quite noisy at night! has 3 pools laundry facilities, restaruant etc. we never used hotel restaruant tho as ponderosa is not far down the road and is much better value for money.

the hotel is in a great location it is in the quieter end of I-drive an in my opinion the better end of I-drive. Pointe orlando shopping mall straight across the road as is wonderworks. Pizza hut is right next door and plenty of other places to eat close by. huge Walgreens shopping market and general store 2mins walk away great place to get photos developed quite cheap. there is no real need to have car here as all the things u need are close by and within walking distance. for everything else there is an IRide stop right outside hotel so u can go anywhere on Idrive using that it goes all way up to belz oultlets at the other end of idrive and down to seaworld and premium outlets which are quite close.

overall this hotel is fine but i think a little over priced for what you actully get...think u are really paying for great location!! but it mite be worth checking out other hotels within that area of idrive. BF and i have booked into Rosen Centre hotel in July this is an airtours prestige rated hotel perhaps bit more "upper class" than quality inn and we have actully saved money going there. so for ur money look around you may get a better hotel for around same price as quality inn plaza in same area.

but no matter where u book into im sure u will have a great time...florida is just amazing and Idrive is a great place to be.
