As we are on a tight budget for our holiday I was wondering if anyone could give me any cheap but good places to eat on I Drive and at the parks. Breakfast/lunch or dinner

Ta much

The Ponderosa on ID is good for both breakfast and dinner - all you can eat buffets for a set price. Good basic steaks/chicken etc. There's also a Macdonalds in Downtown Disney which is always a stopgap. Some good advice is not to order portions for everyone in the parks as the servings tend to be huge and you'll probably find that you'll have far too much! Order one meal less than is in your party and you'll have more than enough!

Any number of budget restaurants on I-Drive. Dennys, Perkins, etc, etc. As mentioned above Ponderosa does cheap buffets - personally I can't stand the place but it does have its fans. There are other buffets along here too - anything from steak to seafood, in a variety of qualities. All the usual fast food chains have places here too.

I agree with that advice.

Also, the lunch menus in the Parks are usually cheaper than similar meals on the dinner menus.

I agree with Dawn, Ponderosa has gone down hill in the past few years in my opinion, we didn't try the Golden Corral when we were there in october 05 but it is still meant to be nice. I also love IHOP for breakfast, lunch or Dinner :D

There is also a nice all you can eat pizza and pasta buffet near Downtown Disney for something ridiculous like $5 per head, i can't remember the name but i'll ask my parents if they remember

There are loads of cheap eats on IDrive, Ponderosa if you are on a budget is great eat as much as you like.

As you book into your hotel make sure you pick up the free magazines, loads of vouchers for money off and eat free deals in them. Or pick them up at the ticket kiosks on idrive...

Also good idea at the likes of Ponderosa to order an entree that is able to be put in a "doggie bag" if you have any left and want to take it home as we were offered.

Sooo much on "free" buffet that entree is a real challenge to eat....not for the small appetite thats for sure!!!

IHOP is fantastic for breakfasts, Ponderosa and Sizzler are fine for breakfasts as well, but I wouldn't recommend them for dinner. Chilli's is great value on I Drive as well.

We loved the Golden Corral (the steak there is delicious!), it was all you can eat for $10.99 (i think?). Perkins was also delicious for breakfast, dinner and tea - good sized portions in there too, and Cici's pizza place was another one of our favourites, they had an all you can eat pizza buffet for $3.99 per person with free refills! Good pizza too!

mmm I love IHOP. It's the International House of Pancakes and the specialty is breakfast foods. They also have pretty good sandwiches.

Cracker Barrel is alos pretty cheap and good as well.

IHOP is fantastic, we had to wait for a table at 6:30 in the morning! The sampler breakfast is great as are the Eggs Benedict.

For us Brits, almost any of the eating out is fairly cheap, Perkins Breakfast is our favorite, a plate you wont finish for about $5 or 6 plus coffee or juice, translates for a family of 4 (using the kids menu for DD9 DS7) to £14 MAX. The buffets although they have fans are a bit rough quality wise and the total cost is about the same. Fast food is about the same as here for the names you know. Pizza Hut is not as nice as we are used to, although cheaper. I don't think we ever had a bad meal, across the price range. Bahama Breeze is nice if you are pushing the boat out slightly. You will probably find the deserts never happen as you will be too full, and remember most soft drinks are on free refill (try the still lemonade) and lastly unless the service is dreadful (only had poor service in the big theme restaurants - all too busy for their own good) REMEMBER TO TIP - thats why the food is cheap the service is really not included, 10 - 15% is the norm, and in most places your service will have been so good it is not like the robbery service charge in the UK
