And I just joined the Disney DVD club. I've been collecting these things FOREVERRRRRR, including the sing a longs (I ran a day care in my home for 13 years, I corrupted a lot of little children with Disney). I don't have a clue how many DVD's we have, enough to fill 2 DVD stands and the spaces under the TV console.

I've never really looked in the US to be honest so I'm not sure. My DVD player is Region 2 locked anyway.
I tend to buy most of mine online. Some of the record shops do have deals on from time to time. For example, 4 DVD's for £30, and they can be quite new too.
Generally, you can get quite cheap DVD's here
I do like my films.....

I don't have nearly that many dvd's, but I do have quite a collection going on. I watch them all the time. However, I do have about 5 or so that are always on the rotation, including Bridget Jones, The Burbs, and 13 Ghosts. From looking at my collection I seem to favor Romantic Comedies and Horror.

I didn't know you could do that Mike. I'll give that a bash but it won't screw up up my player if it doesn't work, will it??
DW and I just love movies. TV can be pretty dismal at the best of times and we only really watch either Sky Movies or usually a DVD.

You made me curious because 40 sounded like so many Disney only DVD's that I had to count mine. I have 97!! I couldn't believe that we had that many. I seriously need to weed through these as I don't think my kids have watched half of them more than a couple times. Wait, make it 98 because Kronk's New Groove is on the TV stand (what a disappointment).
We have well over a thousand DVD's & they are flowing everywhere. We really need to have something custom built to hold them but anything custom built is a fortune. We have these two great DVD stands we bought from Best Buy & they were inexpensive but a third would take up too much room. We need something TALL.
Now I'm curious as to all the titles that have ever been available on DVD by Disney. Any link?

It's a whole heap too many DVD's at times. I forget that no one here knows that I am in the retail business & deal in CD's & DVD's. So that is one reason my collection is so large, LOL.
Movie night at my house anytime. Ya better like kids movies because half of what we have probably are! I actually found two more Disney DVD's out of place when I was straightening up the family room so I'm at 100 now!
One of these days I'll make a fortune ebaying them off

A job dealing in DVD's  :noworthy:
That's one of my dream jobs - I just love movies and take great pride in my DVD collection being catalogued and neatly displayed.
Maybe a bit raincoat-ish but hey, I'm okay with that :p

I'm very AR about my DVD's & CD's too. I have one friend who gets great joy out of sneaking & messing them up when she is here. They must be alphabetized & all the TV series in one section & all the documentaries in another section. And this is at home, not just at the store!

I'm like that too. They all have to be in there certain place. I put all my Disney movies and put them in chronological order :D

Hi Mike,
That's a lot of Disney DVD's we have about 24 Animated Movies, and a couple of Non-Animated Films.
I'd like to get as many animated films as I can, like Mulan & Tarzan next and than I'd like to go back to get Pinocchio & Dumbo etc...

I've started putting mine into wallets. Takes up a LOT less space!!
I've got literally hundreds of DVD's and storage was a real problem.

Yeah, I know what you mean mate - there's something satisfying about seeing your collection growing isn't there??
Unfortunately, mine grows at one **** of a rate and it was getting out of control so the wallets seemed like a good idea. I've kept all the boxes in a cupboard (I've not thrown them out) and I've kept the ones we watch a lot in the bookcase.
