What's your favorite Season?

That question is actually tougher than I thought. I love spring with all its colorful blossoms. Summer with wispy clouds and warm, sunny days. Winter with all its wishes for white Christmases and promises of holidays to enjoy. But fall, only recently a contender, is now a favorite! I love the changing color of leaves, the nip of chill air, wood smoke from fireplaces...

Fall is my favorite. It's not too cold or hot. The leaves are changing colors and it's beautiful. My birthday is also in the fall.

Feb-Snow time
Mar-Meltdown #1 of the year, followed by winter
Apl-Meltdown #2, usually all the snow melts, 90% ice
May-Meltdown #3, followed by a sprinkling of snow that makes the roads really icey. Followed by green grass
Jun-sun!!!!!
Jul-Sun and lightning!!!
Aug-rain
Sep-rain with a 50% chance of snow
Nov-first snow that sticks
Dec- 4th meltdown followed by snow right before christmas

Got to be Summer, the only time we get anywhere near decent weather in the UK. And even then it rains most of the time, followed by a week where it's unbearably hot and then a few more weeks of rain!

In my area of Pennsylvania, USA ... when a discussion relates to the seasons, my normal response is . . . . . :sigh: "We only have two! . . . :hammer: Construction and Winter!" :snow: Hee! Hee! Hee! :Pardon:

Wow, I guess I am in for some lightning then! I will be at the University of Alaska this summer for a NASA led course on global warming and ice clouds in the mesosphere. Two weeks after leaving I will be coming back again on a cruise..let see..oh...I get to experience rain...why am I leaving Virginia for that? We have got plenty! OBTW..I am a fall lover too.

Summer - bring on the heat baby! I swear I'm cold-blooded. As soon as I've got some money saved I'm moving to warmer climates I swear...stupid English winter (and stupid student uninsulated housing!) *shivers*

Well howdy there Watchinherskip.
:umm: Good question! :iagree: In fact, it's the same question I have, as well as other residents, with regards to the numerous highways under construction, that surround the area I reside. :help2: The traffic congestion was so bad last year, that it would take up to a half hour, to get to a locale, that normally takes less than three minutes, if that! :drive:
If we are confronted with excessive rain, the areas that lead us to the only grocery stores nearby, flood. Making it extremely difficult to those who need to figure out a way to get groceries. :shop:
Construction and flooding aren't the only thing we have to think about either, because close-by is a Velodrome, that attracts bicyclists from around the world, to whom also share the roads, and at times, are careless. :bike: :bikestone:
The problem with constructing new roads and highways is: it takes too long to plan, and too long to finalize. By the time the so-called: "new traffic pattern", that is to eleviate over-crowded roads and highways, is finished...it's out-of-date! :clock:
Another problem where I'm located is, the area is surrounded by highways, which in turn, make it extremely difficult to use a cellphone:Phone: because, the towers' waves are directed to what is called: "highway miles".
Being a "former" PA boy, you pretty much know about our out-dated and over-populated highways, which are infamous in Pennsylvania. :Panic:
How are the highways in your area? :drive2: Are you faced with the same type of problems too? :interview:
