My ten year old was working on a school assignment that required including many of Australia's unique and interesting wildlife in his presentation...as we ahem I meant he did his research, we were impressed to see how many different exotic creatures reside on the continent of Australia as well as the interesting culture that Australia has to offer.

Disney's Animal Kingdom must and should start working on creating an Australian Outback Land immediately! Or at least real soon! So many people would love to visit the real Australia, and may not be able to, however, this might be the next best thing!

How can I submit this idea to Disney?

Not sure how to get the idea to the right people but I think it's a good one. I imagine Australia has had to cross their minds between World Showcase & Animal Kingdom. Wonder why it would never have been included. Was it in the Millenium Village in '99/00?

I'm not sure if it was or wasn't?

When we were last at WDW I remember on one of the behind the scene tours we took they told us that AK has enough land surrounding it that they can build another entire WDW Resort.

In my totally biased opinion they should include at least one Southern Hemisphere nation in either WS or AKL; the AKL idea is not bad - a whole new area! And it would fit quite well with the animal theming.

I volunteer as a consultant - I've seen lots of native Australian animals!

I'm pretty sure that they're designing a Australia themed land.

I'd like to see a land devoted to South America, especially its rainforests *sigh*

Oooo that sounds so good!!

Do we know if Disney are planning on more countries in world showcase?? I *think* I remember a cast member saying that they were planning on more countires last trip

I do think that AK could do with an Australian Outback land! That would be so cool! (but as long as they promise to keep those spiders locked up tightly!!! )

True that....I wouldn't even go near the spider exhibit if they made this into a reality b/c I'm way 2 scared of spiders...

it would be cool to have a spider exhibit kinda like the shark one in Sea World, where you get really close but, no matter, there's glass!

I doubt they will do a south america land as they cover alot about South America/Rainforest in Conservation Station

Yes there was a small stand in Millenium village. It had very little in it but I'm sure I remember seeing a Koala bear

I've never been to the conservation station, but even if animals were covered there doesn't mean they can't make a land of it. They have animals from Asia in an area, yet there's EE and Kali

I like your idea, but what sort of rides or shows would you put in the land? The only thing I was thinking of was a 'FInding Nemo' but with a new ride in Epcot and a new show in Animal kingdom, that would be very competitive.

they could go all "Discovery Cave"
