If you are at Shades of Green and using a wheelchair, other than the bus, has anyone used any other method of getting around, namely to MK and Epcot? Has anyone rented a van and was that convenient? Does anyone know of a way to transfer someone from the wheelchair to an SUV, that is, someone that does not take steps? Thanks for any suggestions. :overhere:

I know that the monorails are "wheelchair friendly" so getting to and from Epcot and MK should not be too bad, however I know that does not help you too much as you still have to get to and from the monorail stops.
Sorry, I have no "hands on" experience with this one.

SUVs are too high for those that don't take steps. The 7 seater vans are just about accessible but if you're staying onsite just use the buses. They're all wheelchair friendly.
