I am thinking about buying through TimeShare Store and was wondering if anyone has done this?
Also, just in general, when does the DVC start paying off? Money isn't really tight right now but we are thinking of having kids soon and we were wondering if we should wait to buy. I don't want to get trapped into this and feel bad about it in a few years.

I can`t help on the re-sale issue as I`ve not been there, however we`ve recouped our investment over and over again since we became members in 1992.
I would check the current going rates for the various places you would like to stay on WDW property, and then do your sums depending on how many points you are thinking of purchasing.
There is no hard and fast pay-back period, although many folks reckon that after around 3-5 years, they are "in profit"
Remember though that in addition to buying your points, there is also an annual dues payment, which also needs to be taken into account, in addition to the interest charges you will pay to finance your purchase...unless you pay cash of course.
It`s not something to enter into lightly, however if the numbers stack up for you, then I`d say go for it as year on year the purchase price per point obviously insreases. [We paid around $50 per point, and nowadays the cost is more like $90 per point, or thereabouts.]

We used the TST twice and nothing but good things to report. Jason Erpelding was the agent we used. They were timely, they kept us informed every step of the way, and were helpful, not pushy. Best investment I ever made, and some of the best memories our fanily has! If buying DVC fits your plans, you won't be sorry, and using the TST will save you a considerable amount. Good luck.
