Vero Beach, here we come again!

Just booked Vero for our summer vacation in June (am awaiting AP rates before I see if we do a short WDW stay before VB). I'm so excited! Last year we skipped VB because we went to Disneyland in California. As fun as that was the whole family missed going to VB. I was concerned about booking this late & when I called the lady said "all we have during that time is an Inn room garden view". That's exactly what I wanted! So it worked out perfectly.

Boy am I jealous. :blush: Didn't get to Vero last year and doesn't look like I'll be going this year either. :sigh:

We'll be there in mid June. I think we arrive on the 11th. Maybe we'll be there at the same time. I just love it at Vero Beach. It is so peaceful.

We are staying in an ocean view Inn room from Sunday (11th) to Wednesday (14th). My Dad and his wife are coming to stay for two nights (also an Inn room). I was so excited because it is the first time we are taking someone away using our points. When I made the reservation I requested the rooms to be near each other. The CM told me they would try but could not guarantee the request. I told him 'that's ok because my husbands request would be to put them on the other side of the hotel'. He laughed and told me that he could guarantee at least one of the requests.

Ilovetink, we are also staying in a Inn room. We will be there at the same time. How cool. Maybe we'll meet up in the laundry room, LOL. I always meet the nicest people in laundry rooms at Disney resorts. Of course you may have a unit with a washer & dryer. We are just in a studio. Saving those points up for our Fall WDW vacation.
Taking someone on points would be wonderful. I would love to do that. Problem with my family is I would also have to foot the bill for food, transportation, etc. Can't afford to do that.

That's why it's a good thing that my dad lives in Florida. DH is concerned that we may be footing the bill for food, but it was either that or visit him at his house. I think DH is just happy to not have to stay at their house (it is too small to have 4 extra people). I laughed about the laundry room comments because last summer I was in the laundry room almost every night! Fortunately we had a room literally right next door.

ilovetink, you sound just like me as far as laundry. I do it at least every other night. At home, it piles up until no one has clean jeans before i do it! LOL I am not really crazy about laundry rooms at VB though, very small & not enough of either machine. Of course this could be said about many of the WDW laundry rooms (WL comes immediatly to mind!).

We love VBR, it's our home resort. It's always a great escape :yes:
