I'm absolutely addicted to buying those wood mounted stamps with the different characters on them.
I'm looking for; Jasmine, Cinderella, Megara, and Mulan.
I've got quite a few right now, but I want to try to get all of the Disney Princesses or Heroines for the Princess Scrapbook for my daughter Shea :)
Once I get the stamps I need I'm going to get the papers, stickers, embellishments, and album.
I'm thinking about doing two books for her though. I'm not sure how many pages a normal 12" x 12" album will hold, does anybody have any idea?
I also want to do one for my son Tristan of all the Disney Heroes!
I think it will be something nice for the two of them to look back on and share.
Is anyone else into scrapbooking here?
It's my first time doing one, and I'm hoping I don't mess it up! LOL:blush:

Oh, yeah, quite a few of us really enjoy scrapbooking! I have quite a few Disney rubber stamps, as well - but the only "princess" I have is Belle. Most of mine are of Mickey or the Fab Five.

Hi Donna,

It's good to know others have the same interest.:)
My daughter Shea adores Belle. Belle is her favorite.
I love Ariel & Megara.

Does anyone know what basic supplies are needed to start scrapbooking.
I know you need paper, stickers, embellishments, the album, glue of some kind, etc...
Please let me know, ok?
Thanks,
Amy

If you want to keep this scrapbook forever, make sure that your supplies are acid free and archival quality.

You may find yourself using different adhesives based on what you are doing. I have regular double sided tape, industrial strength double sided tape, glue sticks, white glue, glue dots, glue squares, velum tape, glue pens, etc. And I use them all - based on what I'm doing!

Tweezers can come in handy - especially the long handled ones - for holding on to small items that you may be gluing or attaching to your pages.

Eyelets and brads are handy for attaching things to a page. I have a nice eyelet toolkit that I just love! It came with a device to punch holes (nice when you want a hole in the middle of a page and your hole punch won't reach), a small hammer, tweezers, a pointy thing, an eyelet setter, and some large needles. I also bought a mat made especially for setting eyelets. Protects my counters.

I also do dry embossing, heat embossing, rubber stamping, and other techniques to add interest to my pages/cards, etc.

You will also want pens/markers for journaling and to draw lines/squiggles, etc on your pages!

Wow Donna, I want to scrapbook with you. :D

I have just the basic supplies: papers, stickers, tweezers, pens, and little sticky squares (they hold everything for me).

Since I want to spend more money on the papers/stickers I usually buy a cheaper album. My thought is that it's important what's inside of it, not what it looks like on the outside. Dollar General sells albums for $5 and that's a 12x12. :D

I have always love stickers (in fact, as a child I had a sticker collection), so obviously scrapbooking for me involves tons and tons of stickers. For my last book, I had many of the Princess stickers and Villains.

I also have many Disney papers. I love the ones that have specific rides on them. Makes it so easy to coordinate.

This stamping things sounds fun....I'm off to check it out. :D

Oh I forgot to add that i bought a 10pk of scissors at Walmart for $10. They have different edges.

Hi Donna,

That's not bad, I paid a heck of alot more for my Megara stamp.
But than again, they don't make those stamps anymore, so to me it was worth it. :)
Mulan is the one that's going to be tough, I need to find her in her pink dress. I may just wait and get the Cinderella stamp from Mousememories.
Thanks for letting me know thay had one, I must have missed it.
