Disney Virtual Magic Kingdom hits 1m
NEWS BRIEF: Disney has hit one million characters for its massive multiplayer online role playing game Virtual Magic Kingdom, just over seven months after launch.
The free MMORG is inspired by Disney theme parks, providing users with an online version in which to wander, play and interact with others, all through their own avatars.
The vmk.com website is Disney's first major stab at an MMORG, but the momentum behind such initiatives will receive a major boost later this year when the Mouse launches a similar venture based around the new Pirates of the Caribbean feature film.
