Makahiki Luau at SW

If we go to the Makahiki Luau dinner show at SW, do we have to miss the night time Shamu show?
The dinner show seems to be on about 30 minutes before the park closes from what I can see. I previously thought the dinner show started at park closing :shrug: :(

I have just booked the Makahiki Luna for my son and I and it looked really great. I did have a hard choice to make between this and the Shamu show. I still might book that aswell but it does get rather expensive to do everything. Also, I didn't realise that Shamu is also a night.

The luau is really good.

It's been a few years now since I've done it, but I think I may do it again this year! Somehow it feels more authentic than the Disney luau (although that's improved too recently).

From what I've read about the shamu one v the luau, I tend to think the luau will be better
