What do you do with celeriac? Yes the box turned up another strange one this week. I've Googled a bit but all I can find is really fancy laa-dee-da recipes. I need something simple, like can I just mash it and serve it with sossidges?
Oh and Adrian says does it taste of celery?

I'm trying to broaden my culinary horizons. Expect celeriac when you all come round for dinner. The boys can have marmite sandwiches.

Use it as you would swede/turnip. Mash some with potatoes in case you don't like it on it's own. Puree with carrot. You can roast in it's skin, but don't eat the skin unless you really like it. You can do anything with Celeriac.:)

We should start a cyber Ready Steady Cook. Dawn goes out and spends £5 on weird stuff and we suggest meals. Dawn then posts a picture of the finished article and we hold up a big picture of a red tomato. Or a green pepper. Or maybe not.

Oooh good one. You missed the red cabbage though - stewed with apple, raisins and cinammon. Believe me it tastes far better than it sounds.

Take book back to library, smear marmite over children and shove the celeriac...
