I hope to visit here in the next year or two. Some questions...Do they have wetsuits and swim vests sized to fit all body types?

What happens in the event of bad weather during your day?

Do younger children ever get intimidated by the stingrays or the swim out into the dolphin lagoon? (Mine are ages 6 and 8 right now and are very good swimmers and know how to snorkel).

Thanks for the help...

I think from memory they have wet suites freely available upto 5XL, and they probably have bigger sizes if needed.
As for children, my 3 (ages at time 9,7,5)were not too happy in the stingray pool, they did enjoy it but every time one brushed past them there was a little scream. They loved the coral reef though, my youngest had my husband in snorkelling for the whole day, they only rime she would come out was for lunch, at the time she was only just learning to swim as well, but she loved to watch the fish.
Also make sure to spend time in the avairy the kids loved feeding the birds.
It was a fantastic day, and we will be going again this year, although we may not do the dolphin swim, it was great but not the highlight of the day.

Also, has anyone done this where you do the campout the night before? If so, what was it like?

Ruby,
There is plenty for a four year old to enjoy although i thought the day was a little on the pricey side.
We went three years ago and our 11 year old daughter really enjoyed her day. There are free form pools with shallow areas which have beautiful tropical fish in.
Obviously the four year old needs supervision all the time but there are many lifeguards present and you are all given bright yellow jackets to wear ensuring you are clearly visable. There is also a limit on the number of people allowed per day which ensures the pools are never overcrowded.
We bought our little one an underwater camera which kept her occupied for a good couple of hours. There is also an area where you can swim with rays which was very enjoyable.
The non-dolphin swim package includes everything else such as meals, drinks, the use of snorkels, sunbeds and masks, towels etc.
The dolphin swim is unforgettable ! Enjoy your day in paradise !

Thanks for the lovely info staceys dad, we havent booked it yet but im definately more convinced now, both our kids love the water and fish! (little ruby loves tuna sandwiches:D ), my son wants to be a diver when he grows up, so this will be the ultimate experience for him, it`s very pricey but the memories will be priceless (just need to rehearse that sentance a few more times fo my dh!).

thanks again, you`ve really helped my decision

I'm wondering about these "sand shoes". Do you have to wear them or can you go barefoot?

And we are all wondering how long it takes to get used to the snorkels cos none of us have used them before.
cheers

Hi Martin

I absolutely HATE HATE deep water and being out of my depth, ....but I thought I may never have a chance to be here again.

My husband was brilliant and taught me how to snorkle, it took me about an hour to gain confidence but when I did I was offffffffffff...... I did wear a bouyency jacket cos I am not a strong swimmer and I'm glad I did as the water is very deep in parts.

You will honestly have the time of your life....Enjoy every second of it because the day flies by :):):)

...And yes you can go barefoot, we did.

That's great news. Sounds like you had a superb time. We are really looking forward to it, particularly as DW and the girls were able to pet the Dolphins at SW last year :)

snorkeling is easy once you get used to it!
just remmeber to breathe out of your mouth, not your nose.
it takes a while,
and i was worried about it after getting salt water up my mouth, and got the fella to show me how to do it, and he said i was a natural

Hi I have another question...

Hubby is not a swimmer and would probably go to see the kids. Is it feesable to get the kids both 7 years old and competant swimmers to go and do the dolphin swim on their own, can you see what they are doing and get pics if you are not doing the swim?
Thanks - Oh I am so excited!!!!!:wiggle:

Your husband can stand at the water's edge and watch you do the Dolphin swim. You will be no more than 50yds away. (Don't measure that, I'm not good at distances.:D )

Yes, you do go into deep water. You start in a bit which is about 3 feet deep I think (it gets deeper like the sea would)....... then when you go for the main bit with the dolphin, 2 of you swim out and the rest stay in the other part
