Waiting List

We've reserved a 2BR at SSR (our home resort) for the first week in November and I am now trying to change the ressie to BCV, one day at a time. Yesterday I was able to switch our first night, no problem...and the CM I spoke to yesterday told me there were rooms available for the second and third nights...but this morning when I called there were none available. So now we're on the waiting list...
I don't want to be moving back and forth between resorts, but really *LOVE* BCV and really want to stay there as much as possible...Now I'm wondering, what happens if I call tomorrow and they have a room for our third night? Do I cancel the SSR room and switch to BCV, even though that could mean three different rooms in three nights? Can you book rooms for the same night at two different resorts? We have the points available...

2J'sMom, wish I could help. I almost went through this on our last trip in Dec. '05 because I wanted to stay at BWV but BCV is our home resort. So I booked BCV & then planned on doing the day at a time switch. I got outvoted by every member of the family who had no desire to try BWV because they love BCV. I do too but wanted to try somewhere different. Anyway, didn't have to go through it but I feared exactly what you are going through. If you have enough points I would think you would just keep them both booked & hope something comes available fast so you can cancel the other without losing the points. You should talk to a DVC CM & get advice from her/him as I'm sure they deal with this situation all the time. Let us know how it works out. Hope you get to stay at BCV, I know it's a toughy to get into.
