UOG Adopt-A-World-Cup-Team **Live Draw - Fri 26 May 18:30GMT**

Well the Football (soccer) World Cup kicks off in a coulpe of weeks time and despite the abscence of the Tartan Army im sure it'll still be a showpiece event. Im personally looking forward to seeing world class teams such as Sweden, Paraguay and Trinidad & Tobago in action myself ;) :lol:
Only kidding, im sure many of us will be rooting for the home nations of England & USA but just for a bit of fun, we thought it would be nice give all the nations a bit of support and have a little fun at the same time. :footy:

All we need is 32 'volunteers' to put there name forward to be drawn one of the competing teams at this years tournament. You dont need to be a footie expert to enter, its all in the luck of the draw!

If we have enough people by Friday, a 'Live' draw will be made where a team will be picked out of the hat and allocated to each participant.

Its then up to you to back that team, add a line to your sig or maybe place a small flag of your adopted county somewhere. :cheer2:

The 'winner' will be the person who's team goes all the way to lift the World Cup, but remember its just for fun, no cash prizes to be won (unless you put a few quid on your team down the bookies! :hehe:) :roses:

Anyway I looked up the team list - and it turns out most of them play for European clubs!! Guess there's no money playing soccer in Australia - too much competition from Australian Rules, Rugby League or Rugby Union.

DS plays Aussie Rules at school, but they are learning about the world cup in German class this year for some strange reason :shrug:
