DM, congratulations!
I think if you have anything out of the ordinary there, they will charge a massive set up charge to roll out the intimate tables and roll in the banquet ones, IF they would even do that. I can't imagine that space without the intimate tables. Can you tell her it's a massive set up charge for them to swap the tables out? I don't think there is a lot of time between the end of your reception and the beginning of their evening hours to do a furniture swap, either. Just trying to help you out.

we're having a sunday afternoon wedding... we could buy out the place for the night...
thanx for the tips though...
they said that we could put 6 round tables on the dance floor... i think i might be able to do that for imediate family and bridal party, then everyone else will have to sit where ever. i think that might be the best solution...
who knows...as my fiance says dont worry about the details yet...:wiggle:

Without seating arrangements, folks will gravitate towards those they know best. For guests who do not really know anyone too well, they may self isolate.
Seating arrangements can be done in such a way as to add life to the festivities, and see that no one is left alone.
On the other hand, if you are pretty sure of your guests (in that at least those from each "side" know each other) then you could hope that mingling would be ok.

HOw many people are going to be at the wedding? Six tables of 8-10 and how many intimate tables? That may be strange if you are not family and you just don't know where to go. Maybe the other guests might feel left out especially if they've travelled far to be there or as OKWTink says they don't know anyone else. If you're bringing in larger tables why not make them all large?
Oh, and congrats!!

Hi,
We had our wedding last year at the Wedding Pavillion and the reception at the Atlantic Dance Hall. We had the place to ourselves so the seating arrangements were as follows:
There were little tables around the dance floors which we used for our guests (small wedding) and the head table was below the giant video screen. As far as I know, they have now removed the little tables from the dance floor but for a small wedding they could drop a few table where the small tables were but then you would not have as large of a dance floor. We had the pre-reception on the top floor and the reception on the bottom.
Make sure they turn on the Stars spotlight when you dance... it makes for great pictures.
If you have questions, just ask.

Hi DM,
Sorted the pictures of the Atlantic Dance Hall...
I did not take the pictures since it was my wedding... I am a good photographer but not that good...:). Haven't quite figured out how to do that yet.:)
Some of the pictures are a bit too dark and some overexpose (IMHO) so my apologies for that. Nevertheless, they should give you a good idea. We had a small custom wedding. I also included some pictures of the layout of the food and the various chef stations.
You can view them at:

If you have questions, just ask. Also, if you need some more recent pictures, let me know since I live across the street from WDW.
