Pin Trading Event WDW Sept. 8-10

Hi Ya!!!
Has anyone been to the pin trading event in the past?
We are planning on going this coming Sept. We have purchased our
tickets, but the RSP is confusing me. Any advice would be appreciated!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

RSP is the Random Selection Process they use to distribute the pins they have for the event. This is where I get confused. There are 52 pins or pin related items to pick and choose from. Some how you rank the pins you want in order from most wanted to least wanted. For some reason on the site you can do this on they want your credit card # after you've made your choices. But I understood that you may or may not get all the pins you choose because of the limited editions. So why do they need your c.c.#?

www.dizpins.com also has the pins or is that where you meant . :unsure: my friend , Cindy, which is a cast member just joined our boards as firebug . I will give her a call and tell her to come online . She should know . :D

I just talked to Cindy . She is not home, but will be on later . I asked her your question and she said, you give them your credit card # for the pins you want, but it will not be charged until the day that you officially receive the pins . Thanks for this info , I guess I better get a picking . :lol:

Nope it is definetly disneypins.com. I actually paided for our tickets to the event on this site. If you book in advance, by June 24th (I think), you get a special pin for your collection.

Cool thanks for the info!!! If you haven't got to check out all the pins, if you go to disneypins.com and check on the pintrading event, they have the catalog w/ the pins so you can check them out. It takes the adobe whatchacallit, but it gives great detail about the pins

Ok and thank you ! I will check out the site . When are you arriving in Disney ? I'll be at Pop from 8/31-9/7, then I'm staying with Cindy for the pin event . We can meet , ok .

Cool! I arrive at POP!!! Sept 7th and we stay till the 11th!!! This will be my first pin event. I'm so excited. I've been collecting for almost 5 years now.

Hi! We were in epcot last year one the first day of the event - man, those people are crazy!! There were hundreds of people there, each with suitcases full of pins - one guy had several small carry on style suitcases, each with a characters name embroided on them. I wish we could have gone but we didnt know this thing existed till we were there, and the tickets sell out well in advance.

Be sure to check the regular pin trading places around the time of the gathering - the traders place in DTD was rammed on the Wednesday and Thursday before the evnt started on the Friday.

I'm sure you'll have loads of fun, just try not to spend too much!!
