Unfortunately on my honeymoon, we had the "pleasure" of seeing the awful castle cake. I agree, no pink castle! :)

Trust me, it's nothing like the bling bling castle that is there now. I hope they keep the gold characters on after the celebration.

Isn't next year Epcot's 25th? I would think that something would be done for that. MK's 35th would be 2006 so if they were going to do it, I would think that it would already be done.

Tinker

Than perhaps your right, JM . Unless they incorporate the 35th b-day of MK and 25th anniversary of Epcot together . I was just asking out of being curious . Since, Cindy's a CM, I thought she may know . Now that you mentioned this, perhaps it is a rumor . :D

I kinda liked the cake. After going so many times it was nice to see something new. But if I was my first time I might've been upset.

Me and MK are the same age....well it's 9 days older than me. So it was definately 1971 that it opened.

JuniorMickey

The cake was there during my Grad Nite. I was not a happy camper

d_dreamer
June 6th, 2006, 03:14

October 1, 1982 Epcot Grand Opening

That'll make Epcots 25th birthday October 1st, 2007 - And given that the year of a million dreams starts this October, is it too soon to speculate that late 07 / summer 08 will be an Epcot centered celebration?

June 15th, 2006, 19:23
the first i went to Disney would of been 1996 and it was an october and the castle was decorated as a cake and i think it must have been MK being open for 25 years ..cause in the parade they would sing 25 years of disney magic

this is pretty random, but has anyone seen the DL 10th anniversary special where the dancing cakes come out and sing "Ten years of fantasy, ten years of fun..."?

it gets stuck in your head worst than that phil collins song that's in every single parade now, "this is our family time! This is our happy to be time" ugh. I hate it.
