Silly Disney Restaurant Ideas

Ok, folks. This is NOT a serious question (which is why I didn't put it in Imagineering or a forum like that). It's a "let's make believe..." type of question where you get to design a restaurant at WDW based on a character/movie/song, etc.

For example:

I'd design a restaurant in Fantasyland called "Toad's Hall". It would be based on the "Wind in the Willows" story about Mr. Toad, and in part on the Mr. Toad's Wild Ride attraction.

The restaurant, from the outside, would resemble Toad Hall. Inside, however, each "room" would be decorated as a scene from the ride. Rather than normal tables and chairs, you'd sit in a "vehicle" resembling one from the ride.

The dish the restaurant would be most famous for would be :eek: FROG LEGS!

It would be a character meal, and you would be visited at your "vehicle" by Mole, Angus MacBadger, the Judge, and none other than J. Thaddeus Toad himself!

Now it's your turn! Come up with your idea and tell me all about the restaurant you'd design!

I think it'd have to be an under the sea theme, mainly so I could dine with Ariel :whistle: I'd have corel reef tables and all the waiters would be sea horses
(I'd still have to have them sell steak though because I don't DO sea food :lol: )

How about a Snow White themed restaurant? It would resemble the cottage out in the woods. (or how about the coal mine with the walls glistening with jewels?) The servers would be dressed as one of the seven dwarfs.

The only thing served would be desserts. All of the dishes would contain apples in some form - apple pie, apple crisp, apple dumplings, caramel apples, etc.

I would love to see a Beauty and the Beast restaurant. Also, with different themed rooms, like the castle. As you enter you see the beast and it isn't until you exit the restaurant in the back that you see him as a human.

What about a Johny Dep :oops: I mean POTC place :whistle: You'd be taken by Captain Jack into a huge cave with different treasure type rooms and then be served by pirates wearing eye patches, etc. To get out you'd have to pay to walk the plank over water with huge sea creatures in it that jump up and try and eat you :eek:

you could have ghost walk through the resturant... Your waiters could pop out of the ground. You could have a dead beat ghost (to eat with you instead of a hitchhiking one), your table could be a coffin with a guy trying to get out, and, of course, a spiffy old organ

i think it would be cool to have a Kingdom Heart Resturant (I'm actually working on this) it would be multi levels and you'd sit in different places from the game (ex. Aladdin's house, under the sea, Jack's hill etc.), it would be a character meal, with all the characters from there respectful area, plus charcters from the game like cloud, and sora..

How about a Disney 'Cars' restaurant where each 'booth' is a car from the movie and its totally interactive so it takes on the character of that particular car.

The car could even take your order and process it interactively and your server would have similar characteristics to the car.

Yup the whole thing would be interactive - the car talking to you as you eat.

The type of food I would have is quite casual eating - sort of roadside cafe but not greasy spoon.

All the meals would have a 'Cars' theme and names and the signature dish would be a Car shaped platter (eg wheels made from burger/beef , body made from potato or similar.

While the food is essentially fast food I would look to add a healthy note to it (eg fender 'grilled' burgers)

Animal Kingdom

To enter you must go through an armoire full of fur coats.
Once inside your eyes are automatically drawn to a mountain in the center of the room with an animatronic lion on the top. This mountain slowly rotates so he can watch over everyone.
Around the mountain are the eating stations. The table looks like a big slab of cement, with the chairs being centaurs.
To order your meal, there is a computer type thing on the table. Once you have finished ordering, suddenly the table breaks and the computer vanishes and then your table becomes whole once again. Your meals are brought to your table by mythological creatures. The walls change seasons, so during your meal you start in winter,spring, summer and finish with fall. And during the season changing, the climate changes with it.

I think I'd have a Disney animals restaurant with the tables named and colour matched to various animal hero's from the movies.
Eg - Duchess's table from the Aristocats would be white with pink ribbons.

Thomas O'Malley's would of course be ginger and a booth dedicated to Pongo and the 101 Dalmations would look fantastic covered in spots.

You could have jungle corner where you'd find Balou's, Sher Khan's and Sir Hiss's Tables all of course colour matched to their character.


The foods a difficult one. Perhaps you could have a Balou Burger, Sher Khan Spaghetti, Simba Stew that sort of thing.
I think I'm going to have to do some more thinking.........:idea:

No, i saw it on amazon, looks really cool. Like Belle Note Spagetti or Baloo's tropical smoothie and stuff liek that
