We have found out that our blue parking badge(UK)is not valid in USA and we have to get a temporary from Auto&boat tags South Orange blossom trail.Does anyone know where this is in relation to WDW?

I'm sure it is valid, certainly is in the parks. The OBT is not far from WDW about a 15-20 min. drive

Some of the hire companys give you a badge to use. I know a friend used rainbow and they provided them with a badge.

We have never had any problems anywhere either, its just that Virgin sent us some info and it said that the DVLA say that they are no longer valid in the US.If i can't find anything out i will just use ours like we always do.

I reckon if you are just using it for the parks you should be fine :)

Now I may be wrong but from how I understood it blue badges are not really valid in the USA but the majority of States accept them.
I think that you can take your badge somewhere with a passport and a 90-day temporary permit will be issued for a fee.
I think in the cases of Disney and other parks etc they really aren't worried and Florida in general is so used to UK visitors that the badge is widely accepted.
I know I've never had any problem

Virgin are saying we have to go to Auto & boat tags and it will cost $15,but we have used it at places like Walmart,Dennys,Seaworld etc and had no problems.I might send a letter to the South Orlando branch and see what they say.

I looked on the DFT site who say this (http://www.dft.gov.uk/stellent/groups/dft_mobility/documents/page/dft_mobility_503225-08.hcsp)and the US Embassy site and they say this (http://london.usembassy.gov/rcdisable.html)
I really wouldn't worry about Orlando, Virgin sound like they are just covering themselves, we've used it at all places like that, the Florida Mall etc, and we have never ever had a problem in any of the parks. I guess they are used to the UK visitor they accept it.

We've never gone to a tag agency to get the US equivalent. Always used the original blue badge with no problems. Only difference is we place on dashboard and they hang on rear view mirror, so can be seen more clearly. Next time I might consider attaching to something so can be more visable.
There was the one year where we completely forgot to take the blue badge though, hubbys fault, and it was the only thing he had to remember!!!!
Never mind, will learn for next time.
