Just deciding whether to try for VWL or BCV for a few days during our easter trip. If you've stayed at both which do you prefer?

We can book cash nights with 25% off rack rate can't we through member services? Can you book cash ressies anytime or does the 7/11 month rule still apply?
:thanks:

Not stayed at either, but have visited both, will that do?

BCV is beautiful, my mum and dad loved it, the villa was great and very spacious, light & airy.

Been in a VWL studio and it seemed quite dull.

BCV has the better location too IMHO.

That's what i'm worried about with VWL  We've booked 1 night at BCV when we arrive in October to try it out, but I need to decide before then where to make ressies.

Did your mum and dad have a 1 bed Jo?

i've stayed at WL a couple times in a reg. room & at BCV twice now. I do prefer BC over WL but WL would be #2 on my list. We love it there and for a change may very well stay in a 1BR villa this fall.

Thanks BT! Do you know if we can make cash ressies at 9 months out if it's not our home resort?

Paula, I'm not positive, but I think you can make those ressies early.

I vote BCV, but you knew that eh? :D It has a great location, that wonderful pool, nice restaurants (Beaches and Cream) and has a built in entertainment area at the boardwalk.

Having said all that, I really like VWL too. I like it best there for Christmas time, but have had nice stays whenever I go. The haul from the car to the villa is murder though.

Thanks 'Tink! :D

We're considering BWV too now. It's our home resort and we haven't been there yet :hehe: The kids really like the look of the pool. I've put my dad and step-mum in there in October so i'm going for a look round there too :D

PaulaK,
Most times I prefer BCV, but for Easter, I would probably pick VWL for easy access to the MK (via boat). We always have a car and we drive to the other parks. There are good points to both resorts. You can not go wrong with either choice. (You know you will be back to check them all out sooner or later. )
You can book cash ressies well in advance--I think it may even be more than 12 months, but the 25% discount is not always available during peak times.

Thanks DC! :D

We had a whole change of plan. We're doing the 4 day wonder cruise, then AKL for a few days (kids choice, not mine!) followed by 10 nights at the Poly and saving all our points for October. We're going to have 5 or 6 nights at BWV during the F&W festival and we'll still have some points left for a trip early '08. :D
