Hi all - Several months ago I posted some question about buying into the DVC from the UK. I have been poorly recently and not on the boards but I wanted to tell everyone - WE DID IT ! . We are in the process of buying 170 points at the Boardwalk and we are thrilled.

I just wanted to say a big Thank You to everyone that posts on these boards as the information we learned gave us the confidence to go ahead and buy.

You will probably be hearing lots from me over the next few weeks because i am soooooo excited. When I was a girl, it was my dream was to visit Disney and I can't believe that I may soon "own or share" a small piece of the magic !.

Oh, wow, that is fantastic Gaynor......I can imagine how thrilled you are. I would love to do the exact same thing but, unfortunately, we don't have the pennies right now.

Congrats! I too would love to but I also being a single mom, don't have that kind of money, but at least we still get to visit WDW! Again that is great news, are you planning your first trip as DVC members yet??

Many thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. We have not sorted out a visit yet, we are still trying to organise school holiday dates, leave, etc and most importantly some nice kind person to come and dog sit for us whilst we are away. We have two lovely but ever so mad hoodlum hounds (sisters that are now 5 years old) that are a bit bonkers and I think this may be why we have'nt had many offers to dog sit !. Can I just also add NEVER let your Florida mad, 8 year son name your new puppy or you could also find yourself standing in the middle of a field shouting "SHAMU - SHAMU" at the top of your voice, while lots of people wonder what exactly a SHAMU is !.:rotfl:
SIMBO - the process is really easy and I have to say a lot less expensive than I thought it would be. I do not know if I am allowed to say which broker we used but if you want to sent me a private message. I will answer any queries the best I can. Hope this helps.
