Hi
After the cracking response to my first question , thought id throw another in .
How early in advance did people book their weddings and holidays from the uk ? We are sort of working on 12months prior to going . is this about right?
Thanks again for your help .

Weddings at Disney are booked ONE year in advance.
Disney will reserve the time, date and location for your event as soon as a deposit is received.
If you are booking through a TA, make sure that this is done so that the TA/company is not holding on to the money to the last possible minute and you don't get the time/date/location you want.

if you are having an intimate wedding, they wont confirm the date for definate til 8 months out. for customs i believe they will hold the date at a year out but wont confirm it for definate til 8 months out and a contract has been signed. for customs, reception sites may be bumped if a conference wants to book the site as conferences take preference over weddings

For intimate - You can book your wedding 12 months exactly to the date. It is then confirmed in writing. The time is confirmed in resort.
I had a very quick response with Virgin. Booked my wedding and within weeks had my confirmation letter. And then the all the other paperwork rolls in:)

As Bec said, 12 months in advance.
We booked our intimate wedding with Disney direct, we found it a lot easier dealing direct with them rather than going through a travel agent. We also saved ourselves quite a bit of money booking everything separately.
Good luck :)
