Hi,
I'm going to Orlando with my boyfriend in August. We're staying at disney port orleans french quarter, but are going to a lot of other sites, including, seaworld, epcot and universal studios on various days.
I've been looking for info on whether we can walk between disney sites, and what the best ways of visiting seaworld and universal studios are.
Can anyone help?!
Thanks in advance:wink:

You can't walk between the parks. Disney is far too spread out, it's about the size of San Francisco.
I'd personally rent a car so I could go to offsite places. Mears has a shuttle that will take you to the other parks. There are also taxis but that could be expensive.

Getting around the Disney parks can be achieved using the Disney transportation system.
See here (http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/trantip.html) from our main site for some useful hints and tips.

I agree with Johnie, taxis can be very expensive. My husband and I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside at the beginning of June for our honeymoon. We wanted to go to Seaworld one of the days. Well since that was the only park we were going to off Disney property we decided against renting a car. So we called for a taxi. It cost us $22 going there and $25 on the way back. So you have to decide if it will be cheaper for you to rent a car. You can get to Epcot by taking one of the disney buses since it is on property. Hope this helps.

POFQ also shares a ferry with OKW & SSR to DTD.
WDW buses are comfortable and relatively convenient for travel on WDW property.

We never hire a car when we stay on Disney property as we only leave to visit SeaWorld, Universal and International Drive a few times. We find it more economical to use taxis than car hire.

You can also get to Seaworld from WDW's Transportation and Ticket Center via the local Lynx Bus System.

Thanks!!
I think we'll either do taxis or shuttle bus when going outside disneyworld, as we're only going to universal and seaworld, so it won't be worth hiring a car. Have been looking at the Mears shuttle bus thing, thats probs the best option, i'm guessing we can book from the hotel, as online you can only book to and from the airport!!!!
thanks for the info!!
