The new setting for Believe is brilliant Photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6582&sort=1&cat=766&page=1) and I think the show is much better than the previous show. It lasts 30 minutes.

It starts with a computer on two screens either side of the stage and then the penguins Pete and Penny Photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6581&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) appear and do a little pre-show. It finishes with a brand new song which gave me goose bumps.

A presenter appears and says that Sea World and Busch Gardens would like to thank the service men and women of the USA and their allies and asks any men, women or families of existing or pre-existing service to please stand. The camera scans the crowd and each group is shown on the screens either side of the stage. The audience cheered and clapped, it was quite emotional.

They then showed different pictures of animals, sea life and people and finished with the words “We all belong to the same family”

Now it's time for the main show.

The screens either side of the stage started to move and split into 4, they then moved across the stage to join up. A black and white film of a young boy carving a whale fin out of wood was shown, splitting away from him occasionally to show a whale in the ocean. All the time there is talking explaining how if you believe in something then it will come true. The boy then watches the whale and rushes out to get in his canoe to go to him. He is just floating in the ocean when the whale jumps out of the ocean in front of him.

At the exact moment Shamu jumps out of the water in the middle of the pool and on the screen behind it says “Believe” photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6580&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) and photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6579&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) there are 3 more jumps and a trainer appears. The film behind changed to the young boy as he jumps into the ocean the trainer jumps into the pool and looks around, all the time the same thing is happening on the screen behind.

Shamu appears in front of the trainer and they just look at each other photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6578&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) Shamu then lifts up trainer out of the water and then pushes him in to land in front of the screen photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6576&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) and photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6575&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1)

2 more whales come into the pool with trainers on their noses and they swim to the centre of the pool to meet photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6574&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) the original Shamu back flips in front of them. The 2 new trainers are then pushed to the centre point in front of the audience. The screens rotate and there are 3 whales in the pool and they jump and play.

The music changes and a mist covers the pool and a fountain sprays into the middle of the pool photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6571&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) then in comes Shamu again with the trainer and they dance (twirl round) in the middle. The screens then rotate and come together and the trainer plays with Shamu and then gets pushed 3 times out of the water on Shamu’s nose photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6572&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) and photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6569&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) and then gets pushed to the centre. A girl jumps in with him and they play, he gives her pushes along with his nose he lays on his back and she cuddles him, photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6567&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) and photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6566&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) finally he pushes her out of the water. The female trainer then talks to the audience about why she “Believes” and how she is fulfilling her dream by working with the whales at Sea World. Some people may find this too sugary for them, but to me it seemed right and I thought it was brilliant, I had goose bumps again.

When she had finished all the trainers jumped into the water and swam to the other side of the pool near the audience. They got out of the water and we were told that we needed to do a special hand signal and had to shout and clap to call Shamu, the audience went wild and everyone was raising their hands in the air and doing the special hand clap and shouting SHAMU, SHAMU, the music was playing in the background and then they appeared 2 of them, everyone cheered and the trainers kept clapping and shouting. It was time for the people in the splash zone to get wet. Boy oh boy did they get wet photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6564&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) and photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6563&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) I think there are a lot more splashes that there used to be. It finished with the usual slide up into the middle in front of the audience for the classic Shamu pose photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6560&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1)

The black and white film starts on the screen again with the boy in his canoe and the original trainer appears and says that he is the boy in that film and shows everyone the whale fin that he carved.

A child is then picked from the audience and the trainer asked her name and where she is from and then says that Shamu would like to meet her. She is taken to the side of the pool centre where Shamu poses and the trainer calls Shamu over photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6559&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) She is very close and then feeds Shamu. The trainer jumps into the water while the girl is still standing at the front and rides on his back and then comes back to the middle again photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6557&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) and photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6556&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) and shows the girl how to get Shamu to do some things for her. She claps and nods her head and Shamu nods his head, the trainer then gives her his necklace with the fin on it and Shamu waves to her.

2 more Shamus come into the pool with trainers on them and they swim around the pool and then push the trainers to stand near the girl and that is it it’s over photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6554&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6553&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) and photo (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6552&sort=1&size=medium&cat=766&page=1) The screens rotate at the back and the song “Believe” starts to play on the screens at the back it says “Believe” in all different languages.

The audience went crazy and it was well deserved.

Well that’s it I’ve missed out some bits but I think it’s a must see and hopefully you can get some idea of what to expect. I thought it was fantastic and Sea World have excelled themselves with this new show.

All of the photos taken at the show can be found Here (http://www.wdisneyw.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=6582&sort=1&cat=766&page=1)

We didn't bother with Sea World in May. We don't go each trip because we've seen the same shows so many times. Glad they're having a change at last! :D

Thanks for the review, as it let me know we didnt miss that much of Believe despite it being stopped twice while we were there. We really only missed the last part "2 more Shamus come into the pool... " - I thought we'd missed much more. although the finale is always great.

 You caught me out Bev, the first time we watched it I took notes and Chris took the photos. We went back again later on and watched it properly. We both loved it :D

Yes it's in Shamu Stadium.

There is a new dolphin show as well, Blue Horizons, we've got a few photos but I didn't take any notes, I was a little bit disappointed with it, I almost prefer the old one

Great report and great pictures. I love Seaworld but was getting a bit bored watching the same show. It will be good to see a new one.

They put on exactly the same show at night. It just becomes more spectacular with the lights.

I must admit to being a bit disappointed with having the same show at night because we loved the night time show "Shamu Rocks" last year.

I will try to get eeyore's smile to put some photo's of the night show on here tomorrow.

I enjoyed Believe but missed the difference between the day and night shows. I used to really enjoy 'Shamu Rocks'.
