Well, since the forum has opened for directions to stores, I have a question.
Where is the nearest Wal-Mart from PC?
I have mapquested this and cannot figure out which one is closest.
As always, thanks for the help!
49 Days and counting ...........if you're counting....

Well, I know where it should be! ;) It was under construction in December, 2004, which was my last visit.

Keeping in mind that I don't know street names and use signs to navigate in WDW, here goes:

Follow signs from PC to DTD. Continue out through hotel row to the main street (at The Crossroads) and turn right. Continue beyond the underpass and major cross streets. It's some where on the right. I'm thinking 2 or 3 miles, but could be out in left field with the distance.

Did I confuse you sufficiently?

Counting along with you, firsttimer! We arrive about 6 days ahead of you! :)

Thanks! I think I should be able to find it from there.
I am so glad we're under 50 days, especially when I started my countdown it was over 100!
Are you staying @ PC again?
I've heard it a nice resort.

Yes, we are! Think very clean motel with OTT theming! Not a lot of amenities, but the rooms are comfortable (a bit small compared to deluxe resorts). If you spend a lot of time out and about, they're perfect for the price! :)

I think the same way. As long as it's clean and comfortable, that's good enough. We would rather spend our time @ the parks instead of a hotel room and we're there long enough to sleep and take a shower. :sleepin:
I believe paying higher $$$ for a room you won't be in very much is a waste for us. (That's just my opinion)
Have a great time on your trip!
I know we will!

From OKW we took the 536 past the Marriott World Center and then turned right onto the 535, Walmart is along there on the right hand side, just past Lake Buena Vista factory stores (on the opposite side of the road) the 536 was very quiet and cuts out going into the DTD traffic and all the lights. It seemed quicker to us. :)

Told you I get turned around at WDW! I can't figure out how to get off property unless I do the DTD thing. Once I'm off WDW property, I'm fine!

Taja is right in that it's the closest one, here are better directions:

As you exit PC turn left onto Victory Way.

At the next intersection, turn left onto Osceola Parkway.

Stay on Osceola Parkway until you see the intersection with SR535. Osceola Parkway is a toll road, it will be $0.75, but I think it's worth it just to skip going thru Disney property and the SR535 traffic.

After the exit, stay on the left lane, there is a STOP sign, turn left and another left after you go under the bridge. Wal-mart will be on your left.

Here is the aerial,

Where would you find it from POR? Need to buy a stroller when we arrive.

I'll send you the same way, it's the easiest and you will avoid the traffic along SR535. Click the link below for map and directions.

Disney's Port Orleans Resort to Wal-Mart at Poinciana Boulevard (http://www.disneyguest.com/maps/map-por_walmart-01.html)

I'll send you the same way, it's the easiest and you will avoid the traffic along SR535.

As you exit POR turn left onto Bonnet Creek Parkway.
At the next intersection turn right onto Buena Vista Drive.
You will pass Caribbean Beach Resort on your left, at the next intersection, Victory Way, turn left.
You will pass POP Century Resort on your left, at the next intersection turn left onto Osceola Parkway.
Stay on Osceola Parkway until you see the intersection with SR535. Osceola Parkway is a toll road, it will be $0.75, but I think it's worth it jsut to skip going thru Disney property and the SR535 traffic.
After the exit, stay on the left lane, there is a STOP sign, turn left and another left after you go under the bridge. Wal-mart will be on your left.

Thanks for that. That will help us out a lot.

There is another Wal-Mart on your way from the airport...

- From the airport, take the SR528 (Bee Line) West towards the Attractions.
- You will go through 2 tolls, .75 cents each.
- Take exit number 3 to John Young Parkway. Be careful, it has a sharp curve.
- At John Young Parkway, turn right.
- Wal-Mart will be less than mile as you travel north.

When you are done...

- Take Sand Lake West to I-4. Take the I-4 West exit (passed the giant McDonald's).
- Take exit #68 to Lake Buena Vista, SR535.
- Take SR535 North (turn right).
- Take Hotel Plaza Boulevard (turn left), in front of Crossroads Shopping Center.
- Hotel Plaza Boulevard turns into Buena Vista Drive.
- Go passed DTD.
- Turn right onto Bonnet Creek Parkway.
- POR will be on your right.

Is that the huge one that used to be nearest to WDW?

We have a WalMart Super Center, but compared to the one I'm thinking of, it's tiny! This one is closer to the size of our newer Costco!
