Hi this is my first thread
Does anybody know how often the shuttle bus runs from Imperial Swan Hotel (formerly Howard Johnson Plaza Resort) just off I Drive to the Disney parks, I've emailed them countless times and had no replies. I'm wondering if we have to get up at the crack of dawn to get to some of the parks and also how early or late they return. Is there only one a day per park?

Not getting a response is a bad sign. It may be that they've canceled the shuttles with the high (and rising) cost of gas.

I don't have the answer for you, but I can tell you that usually (not always by any means though) the shuttles run once in the am and once in the pm.

Be certain to know if there is a charge for using it too. Sometimes, depending on the amount of people in your party, it may be more cost effective to take a cab.

Welcome to the UOG by the way!

Thanks for your quick reply it's prompted me to check their website, they say free transportation to all the parks, I bet your right, one a day!

And, typically, it is well after park opening and before park closing!

You might want to consider alternatives. As 'Tink noted, it might be cost effective to use a taxi or town car if you have several people in your group. Particularly when returning in the evening.

There's only 2 of us, last couple of times we hired a car but we're trying to keep the costs down this time, sounds like we'll have to adhere to the shuttle timetable, sigh, do u know if its one shuttle for the whole of Disney or one per park (hah!)

Usually it's the whole of WDW, and often the shuttles pick up before the park closes. That makes it hard to see the later shows like Illuminations and Wishes.

But, I've used shuttles before. It's the only choice sometimes.

Thought it might be, well I see there's a Lynx as far as Sea World and then we can pick up the I Ride if the shuttle times are no good, thanks for your help.:)

Last year Sheraton Studio City had 2 drop-offs and 2 pick-ups a day, both stopping only at Epcot (had to get Disney buses to the other parks) We usually left at 8 and came back at 10 so it was a looong day (they did have an 11 dropoff and 6 pickup aswell) We just tended to try not to burn ourselves out, took time over lunch and/or dinner and had a lot of rest breaks on benches etc. With that said thought I wouldn't want to stay off-site and rely on shuttles to Disney again.. It was a bit too much waiting around in the heat for me (seemed longer cos we were tired) and being stuck to a timetable was a pain. Since we were on I-drive getting to Seaworld and Universal was easy but Disney was quite time-consuming without a car so if I didn't hire a car on another trip (we are next time) i'd either pay for Mears shuttles, taxis or stay onsite.
