When to visit Busch Gardens

I'll be in the Tampa area August 30th through September 6th.

I'm curious if there is a good day of the week to visit the park; I assume Friday through Sunday is best to avoid.

Will the park be busy during this time?


Also.....

I'm not big on roller coasters; so what are the best attractions other than coasters?

I don't go on any of the coasters :sick: but I love BG :thumbs:
The pace is a lot slower than any of the Disney parks so it is quite relaxing....just my opinion :lol:

I am a big animal lover so i like to spend time watching the tigers/lions etc. They have Rhino Ralley which takes you on a jeep through a few of the animals, including rhino believe it or not. There is a 4D show to watch....not seen the latest one so i don't know what it is like! KaTonga is a musical which is about animal folklore and combines puppets/storytelling/singing/dancing etc
There are other shows too but I think it depends on the time of year for some of them.
You can go out and feed giraffe and other animals on the Serengeti Plains ..... very cool! There are a few tours to choose from.
There is a railway which takes you on a tour around the park and also a skyride.
I can give a thumbs up :thumbs: to the Crown Colony for a place to eat.....request a seat that overlooks the Plains and you will see animals and a lot of parrots flying around while you eat.

I'm a bit worried about this park too, as we will have to take the shuttle there.... so we will more than likely arrive late and leave early :lol:

Call me sad, but via the 'Beyond Disney' guide, I have made a list of rides that are 'Must Dos' and others that are 'If have time', and others that are 'Can skip'. It's so I know which rides I really want to do with the little time I have, and if I can do the 'If Time' rides, then hey, it's a bonus!!

Maybe something like that could work for you??

You'll be there Labor Day Weekend. Expect crowds through Monday as locals take advantage of the 3-day weekend

I was there on wednesday and crowds were great not busy at all did all the coasters and still had time to look at all the animals and go on rino rally.

bush gardens is a great day out and is very relaxing :thumbs:
