Who is your favorite rental car company?

Other than the usual insurance hard sell, I've had good experiences with all of the major companies. We have a Costco coupon for Alamo for our upcoming WDW visit, which has the best rate of all of the major companies so far--and includes two drivers! Some charge extra for the second driver.

Enterprise (frequently used by insurance companies) is hit and miss. That's more vehicle cleanliness than other service. They delivered a car full of dog hair to me at my office one time--and I was wearing a dry clean only suit! :eek: Needless to say, I requested that they either clean it or deliver a clean vehicle to me before the end of the work day! :lol:

I like National because I get to go straight out to the lot and choose my own car.

I've had good luck locally with Enterprise when I've had work done on my car.

I've been comparing car hire offers on this site http://www.travelsupermarket.com/travelmerge/travelsearch.aspx?package=6 and the cheapest family car I could find from orlando international, for the dates of my stay, was from a company called U.S. Rentacar. I read somewhere that only a handful of rental car companies are situated at the airport itself and the others are a shuttle bus ride away. Is this true? If so, is U.S. rentacar based at the airport or the shuttle bus depot? TIA:)

US rentacar are an agency that deal with different car-hire companies, a bit like a travel agent does.

We used US rentacar this year. Great service. They use all of the airport car rental companies. Ours was Dollar.:thumbs:

We have hired a mpv both times £300 for two weeks,full insurance and tank of full etc..:thumbs:

I have mentioned the prices to TCD whom we booked a flydrive with for this year, the price i quoted, i was told was very good...but unfortunately i had to go with TCD for the seats.:shrug:
