Hi
This is the first time that I have posted a question. Have always been on the outside looking in before.
Just a quick question I have paid for the Virgin holidays exclusive platinum package' for my trip in a few weeks. Last time we went a couple of years ago I paid for this but still had to pay for more insurance when we collected the car. Now starting to think that they took advantage of me as I was tired  and wanted to ensure I had enough insurance as I do worry, and did not want anything to spoil the hol.
So will I have to pay for more insurance when I get there or have I really paid for everything.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

If you have the Platinum package then you have paid for everything. You don't need to pay for anything else, unless you decide at the desk to upgrade to a bigger car.

You have paid for everything you need  the extra personal liability that they try and sell you is all covered by a good travel policy anyway :)

Thanks for the the fast replies.:)
You have put my mind at rest. I will have to learn how to say no when they try to sell me anything.
Although hubby want a sat nav for the car but I keep saying that we do not need it. We are staying at Bahama Bay Resort.
I have paid for the travel insurance package that virgin sell with the holiday so we should be covered.
Many thanks.:)

Grad06 - they'll always try to tell you you have to have this and that. The trick is to know what you've already bought - that means reading what Virgin sold you and your travel insurance policy. Ask questions before you leave.
One of the reasons I despise Dollar is that they always try to tell you that what you have 'isn't valid here' or other such rubbish.
If you even give a hint of being foreign, they'll start. They even told me that my American Express insurance was didn't cover me in the USA (in fact its only valid in N America!).
Top tip - know what you have and know what you need. Generally ignore everything they try to sell you unless you see it has benefits for you (in your position of knowledge).
Hope this helps!

Thanks jmac.
I will get all my documentation out tomorrow when d's are at school and h at work and read what they include.
I am normally a strong person when shopping but I think my brain just goes to mush when I am on holiday but I do not want to get caught out this year. Want to be able to spend my money on fun things but also want to be covered.
Many thanks.

Thanks littlestars we would love some simple directions.:)
We are flying in from MCO. We have been been before a couple of years ago so kind of know how to find 192, stayed at windsor palms.
Hubby wants to know do you know what a 2 bed gold condo is like. We are travelling with Virgin and that is how they describe it. Also where you disturbed by the construction and the kids want to know what the pizza are like. Have never had a take out pizza and want to try one.
Many thanks:cloud9: so excited about hol now.

Are you flying into Orlando?? Let me know and I will get you the directions.
Pizza is GReAT:clap: kids will love it! They deliver to your home ~ did you know?
2 Bed Gold will be lovely - do you know what building you are in?? The one we own is near the Restaurant and Lakeside Beach and pools. There is no construction anywhere near us so we weren't disturbed at all. If you can find out what Building you are in I can let you know.

Hi, we have been 3 times with Virgin and never had any problems with Dollar trying to sell us extra insurance. The only thing they have tried to do, is try to charge us for petrol - ie we don't have fill up when we return the car - this is an expensive option, compared to filling up yourself. But if you are taking out the platinum insurance package this is already included .

Yes we are flying into Orlando. Hubby very excited that we might have some directions to follow.
Do you know what time you can order pizza till? Just the girls are hoping to order the first night but we are on a late flight out so will not be there till late in the evening.
We are allocated accommodation when we arrive I believe. We have asked Virgin if we can be situated away from the construction.:fingers:

I am sure you will be fine ~ let me know if you need any more info ~ happy to help you out! Not sure on how late you can order pizza ~ probably around 10 I would imagine! Although maybe it depends on what month you go?!
