I sent a letter to Virgin when we booked from Doctor as they asked for it. Will i need to send another nearer the day. In the past we have always been asked to send closer to day of travel. Also do you all carry a letter saying what drugs you have from doctor or just a repeat prescription. Thanks

I only take my prescription slip. When I went to Dubai this year I was told to get a letter to state my prescription drugs but my GP told me that the slip would suffice. I've never once been asked at any immigration or custom point. As long as the name is on the medication you'll be fine.

Thanks  . Alwaya had letter in past but nobody ever asked so was not going to bother this year and just take prescription slip. Just worried with all the security stuff now.

I came through two days after the terror alert and didn't face any checks with my medication so I'm sure you'll be fine. The checkin staff at DTD told me that I wouldn't be allowed to take non prescription medication such as travel sick tablets, paracetamol or immodium but when we got to MCO they said it was ok.

If you take a repeat prescription slip it will also be usefull if you need to get additional supplies in the US.

Hi

We just took a prescription slip that listed the medication etc. We went this oct and had no problems. My hubby has a shopping list and we just ensured that we had them all in our hand luggage and that they had the sticker on the packets from the pharmacy. We had no problems.

Hope that helps. :)
