Hi all. This will be our first time flying to WDW since 2000 so I haven't experienced this. First of all, will it still be going on this November? Do i have to schedule a pickup for my luggage & family? If so, how do i do this. Also, we are DVC members using points staying at a DVC resort. Does this have any bearing? Will we still be eligible? Also, is there a cost for this? Mears, which is what we always used in the past is pretty costly i think.

thanks for the link. I did already read this thread but it didn't say if you have to call ahead & schedule or if you just show up & they will take you. I imagine they have to have some way of knowing how many people to expect.

Yes, You MUST call them and give them your inbound and outbound flight information at the very latest 10 days prior to your trip. We have used the service twice. The first, May 2005 when it was just introduced. I will give you the tel. number as each traveller in your party must be registered to be able to use the service. They will send you vouchers and luggage tags with all your names and resort info. BRB with that number............................!

i just called today & scheduled it. I first called the old stand by WDW-Disney & was told since i booked thru DVC i had to schedule this thru them. OOooook. So i called & was as usual on hold forever, lol. But i got it taken care of. My only concern is they said the luggage tags take 3 weeks to come in. We leave in about 5 weeks. I hope they come in on time. This sounds almost too good to be true. Of course i will worry about my luggage. Did they get it all, will i get it all to my room, etc. etc. Has anyone heard any horror stories re: anything like this?

I called on a Friday to have Magical Express setup for us and I had the luggage tags by the middle of the following week. I am sure they will arrive in plenty of time. :)

If your tags don't come in (as happened to us in May'05) make your own. I bought very bright colored paper and printed in huge letters DME,as well as our names, resort name and date of arrival. I notified the DME desk of this and gave them a brief description of our luggage. This went off without a hitch. The luggage was in our room within 2 hours. I do recommend packing a change of clothes in your carry-on and perhaps your bathing suits as well.

Oh just got done using this service and I will definately use it again! Very quick and efficient service.
